regardless, the environment is going to feel vastly more natural now versus no-clipping cardboard jpegs planted in the ground

Ok that 1 hour window change for fantasia is honestly a top tier change. So many wasted fantasias because i liked my characters tan in the character editor just to get into game and go “ew”
Yup, I once used 4 fantasias just to fine tune my character's height.
They’re also updating the lighting in character creator so it should be easier to get right the first time.

Personally. I mod for this reason alone. That way I can test stuff like skintone, height, and eye colors with my glams
Been given an hour for unlimited editing to a character is a blessing and should of been implemented from the start; The whole point of having to pay money to change appearance is simply so it can't be abused or stress the server too much with constantly having to update player data. Unfortunately both the Benchmark tool, character creation screen and in game editor have bad lighting options for editing.
If you move to an Aussie Data Center it might actually be possible to almost turn your game into a single player experience on some worlds with a 200 name blacklist

I want chat filters for any message containing 5gold or the phrases typically used for clubs dj's etc.
@@Unapologeticweeb Don't bother blocking those, they keep making new characters. The chat filter will probably be great for this actually so you can hide those messages.

As a mansion owner who has their right side of the ground floor and the upstairs walled off, yet still is battling the placement limits for the rest of the place: It's about damned time we got higher placement limits.
You can use half of your placement just putting down the partitions.
Black list an entire server may help make Limsa a wholesome meeting spot.

Sad part is they've already got one the dyed outfits a bit wrong. 3:31 it would be better if the vest could be dyed a different color from the rest. Vest were an expression and were often different colors than the outfit worn meanwhile 'starched' white shirts were the norm in victorian fashion so would it be with steampunk fashion.
As a person who fantasia every week (i really like changing my glams depending on race etc) i have over 50+ different charas (just eye color change etc) , IM REALLY GLAD

I would trade everything coming, except the additional housing slots, for more room in the glamour dresser.
I'd trade the 2 dye system LOL, I'm crying because I just read somewhere else that its not happening. Maybe much later updates. I need more room. /sigh
a big one is the fact you can hide people standing by quest npcs

I feel like the BL should work in reverse. Hide your model from them so they can't see you. ATM it sounds like they will still be able to see you while you can't see them, which just seems weird. I have a feeling it's due to coding and interaction with how the BL currently works but BL'ing a stalker to just not see them stalking you feels odd.

Hopefully, the new glasses cosmetic option will include goggles? Also, will this mean that if we want to wear them, will we have to purchase MT cosmetics to do so? Or, will there be glasses/goggles available in NPC stores, or able to be found through adventuring or gold saucer, etc?

The new render and texture upgrade was very necessary, game looks quite horrid at points, thanks for the list. Got me a bit excited for Dawntrail at least.

Getting a house was actually the easier thing to do for me, I got so lucky in the old system. KEEPING that house was the true nightmare, for I had to keep a sub going and remember to get in the house even when I was too busy IRL to play the game.
After a few years, I realized I paid literal hundreds to sub just to log in once every month to make sure my house wasn’t getting demolished.

They’re emotes you buy for real money off the optional store. They’re sold by piece or in a pack if I remember correctly.

Also, when you join a hunt train and blacklist everyone on it, you can watch how a paranoid S-rank boss will fight imaginary people 😂
The quality of life change that I am most excited about (funnily enough) is the fantasia, even though I rarely use them. I know I definitely will use one once the expansion as launched because I'd like my cat girl to be keeper of the moon instead of the sun. Back when I last changed her appearance, I didn't realize that only the keepers of the moon had the fangs. As for the black list changes:
I think it is cool as well. I feel fortunate I haven't experienced those issues in the 7 or 8 years I've been playing this game. However, I am a little disappointed that it won't prevent the black listed player from being in a duty with you. sometimes I do black list some players because they're difficult to complete a dungeon or roulette with. This is because they are not tanking as the class is designed and is not keep aggro on adds or causing the party to wipe because they think running in wide circles with a wall to wall pull prevents them from taking damage but it pulls mobs out of dps range. The tank as well as the mob also ends up out of range so the healer can't heal them, especially while moving (this usually happens in lower level content). And then the tank insists that's it the healer's fault or the dps's fault and refuse to try a different way. This happens with dps pulling more than a tank can handle. So the new blacklist in 7.0 will prevent me from avoiding those players. But I do understand that player safety is much more important than the inconvenience of a stubborn player. It's hard for the devs to satisfy everyone. I am happy that the players who are experiencing in-game stalking and harrassment will be safer.

@@piscye1806 There is a Repair All button but this only repairs the selected tab. Thus repairing everything is like a 10+ button pressing exercise.

I also hope they give us more Gardenslots. Because honestly, trying to make a pretty garden with the small amount of slots is pure horror.

After the fantasia, the two tier dye system is the second most anticipated glam change for me! Can't wait to re-do some of my glams! :D
I am most excited about the expanded amount of glamour plates!
I play on Balmung, and even without playing every job, I don’t have enough plates for all the outfits for my Idol Toon.
All these added glamour plates are going to be incredible for having all my Idol’s unique consumes at the ready at the touch of a button!
They're adding more plates, maybe I can make new glams again without having to delete my old ones

@@tibby-san Yoshi-P has said that there won't be more glamour plates at launch, but they are looking into adding more (but no estimate on WHEN)
For the love of god can we please gain the ability to select multiple things in our inventory at once! Whether it's for selling items or turning things in (like GC seals for example) it's insane that this isn't in the game yet!

Does the timer start when you first pop the fantasia, or after the first time you actually edit your character and log in? I'm hoping the latter to prevent issues where someone might use it then not immediately log out to edit their character. Would suck to just be -10$ cause of that.

I know it's a lil silly...but I'd love to be able to do aileron roll (aka "barrel roll") on flying mounts.
There is one mount i know of with a Barrel roll. Twintania from the recruit a friend campaign. While mounted, it has the mount ability to Barrel Roll
@xXSightlessXx I see~. It would be nice to add that to move mounts. As when I'm travelling around flying, I at least try to make it fun flying between things. So it would be nice to just have so poorly silly things to make the travel fun.

I want to know if we are getting more inventory space, including glam dressers and retainers.
I just want WoWs transmog system. It's driving me crazy that I have to use so many slots in my dresser for the same accessory. If you like the look of a specific accessory and you want to use it for all your jobs you need one for fending/healing/aiming/slaying. That's 4 slots for 1 type of accessory.

2:35 More immersive flying is the one I'm most excited about.
I wish mounts would have more unique movement sets. Unfortunately my hopes for this change got crushed when they decided to treat them as nothing more than a skin.
Imagine the depth different moves could provide to the mounts. Make flying and swimming/diving exclusive to certain types. Add more complexity to each specialisation, e.g. differentiate between floating and gliding for flying mounts, add the ability for big leaps to certain terrestrial mounts or perhaps rolling for all the spherical shaped ones.
I'm aware of possible engine limitations, let alone the tremendous amount of work one might face trying to implement such a system, but I genuinely believe it would make travelling much more exciting.

i just started playing this game like a week ago and i think its actually so cool that these massive visual updates are coming to soon into the game as i'm playing everything through for the first time
It'll take some time to reach you as rather than doing one humongous update, they're doing it in stages, starting mostly with the newer content. Though I did notice that the hair and eye update did reach some Heavens Ward cutscenes
only 200 players? Dang. There goes my plan to blacklist everyone wearing the 2B boots so I never have to look at them again ~.~

Curious, I'm a fellow Face 2 KoM player, are you happy with the changes?
Personally sad that 1-5 eyebrows are all some variation of: determined, focused, angry, 2 & 4 were soft (4 being higher arches). Everyone was upset about KoM losings their canines, but I rarely see her teeth in comparison to her actual face being permanently RBF.
ima try it out if they make the world map actually fun to play. Other than story there's nothing to do in them.

Combat voice sounds always sound like porn, in every game. That's just what they tell the voice actors to do in video games for some reason. Directors be like "Okay, we need some combat sounds, so do a bunch of porn moaning into the mic now."
I'm watching this video to help cope with the fact that the maintenance notes confused me and made me think that it didn't start till tomorrow morning. I can deal with the journal of wondrous tails being not done and the hunts not completed. But FUCK ME, I DIDN'T USE MY FANTASIA AND I'LL HAVE TO LOG IN AND BACK OUT JUST TO MAKE MY CHARACTER A FEMALE HROTHGAR....FUCK!!!!!

Totally excited for all the QoL, but don't like the lips on the character. They look too big no matter what which one you pick. But I'll just have to see it in the expansion.

Do not use your fantasia during the first weeks of DT. You won’t be able to log in quickly to test during that hour. Unless you move to a dynamis server. Then you’ll have all the time in the wirld
