Ermes is right in the sense that all pressure is on Levan like always. Now its about he manages it. One thing i didn't expect though was him saying he now just wants to win regardless of Ermes taking a round or two. I was like Woah that change in energy, because that was the one unique thing which he has over everyone else and he had vowed to keep it intact.
Anyway can't effing wait for this.
I was waiting for someone to mention that haha. It doesn't change my prediction, but it was very very interesting to hear that from Levan. Almost a bit shocking
@@Lagia7 Yeah, i had to replay it just to make sure he said that, was v surprising, maybe he now wants to ease the pressure on himself, because he's under so much pressure in every match of his due to super high expectations from people and on top of that to win all rounds, or he's saying that because of Ermes and the level of competition he sees, because he was very certain of smashing Devon 6-0 very confident of it always. Or he's being humble? lol
He's just being respectful to Ermes he won't give up rounds after 4-0
Levan is just being nice to Ermes , he's not going to give even 1 round.
If ermes gets a pin it’s due to how the betting line goes.

Wow! Devon is very respectful when he travels the world promoting arm wrestling. I guess if your not from North America then you don’t understand s*** talking. There is a mental aspect and the effect it has on you and your opponent. It’s not to make you feel comfortable that’s for sure. I guess if you don’t understand his mentality and approach then you don’t get it. He’s always the first though to grab the mic after every match and be heartfelt and respectful. ✌️

It’s so refreshing to see these two professionals! They are both so witty and respectful even though they truly believe in themselves. So different from the WWE drama that some guys are trying to bring. I hate the fabricated drama. It’s fake, disrespectful, and it just causes rifts in the friendships and the community. If 2 guys truly don’t like each other, that’s one thing, but antagonizing your opponents for clicks at their expense is childish as hell.
For some people though its part of the mental warfare. I agree that sometimes it goes too far, but sometimes its tactical to take someones mind out of their performance. Also it can work in the opposite direction where it motivates and fires up both opponents leading to a more entertaining match up. I am not crazy about scripted nonsense at all. I think haviing these intense rivalries bring attention to armwrestling.
To me in the lead up to a fight and during a fight almost anything is allowed, as long as there is sportsmanship afterwards i'm fine with it. I agree that these days it seems to get out of hand sometimes.
Yeah it’s so nice and refreshing to see the mutual respect and the great base values of eastern arm wrestlers . The sport needs a break here and there from the drama queens of NA.
If not for the WWE style and larger than life persona armwrestling would still be dead. Like it or not, if not for Devon this match would not be taking place.

Very humble and respectful athletes, it's nice to see them having and laughing. Also it's great how their English is improving, this way we can hear what they are actually thinking and saying rather than what a translator wants to translate. Definitely watching that PPV on Sat.

You did great with the questions Matt. You know their English is not very good (especially Levan's, even though he improved A LOT, hats off) so you need to ask your questions in a simple way in order they could understand them. It's quite obvious but surprisingly not everyone knows this, I always felt kinda embarrassed when Neil Pickup asked his questions using some sophisticated vocabulary while talking to someone who barely even understands English lol

Not that I think either way is wrong per say but why do you think mma has so many fans now? It’s because of the trash talk. Whether you like it or not it brings attention to the sport. If you want armwrestling to stay a niche sport then sure let’s keep things quiet. But if you want it to grow it must be done.

I like how Levan is trying to hype the match in the end there fully aware that they are too calm right now and to expect more aggression in the match. I'd love to see Ermes stop Levan but Seeing Levan power through Ermes would also be a spectacle.
