      I used to use jitter aim, when this vid came out, it started to hurt my wrist so I stopped, now I can just control any guns recoil(in apex) pretty consistently(except spitfire for some reason) I just have to find the playstyle I like for the weapon, flatline 3x is good for long ranges, assuming I can keep the recoil down

    I'm pretty late on this, but I conducted some experiments using emulated mouse input to simulate perfect jitter. No, I have never used it against players.
    I tried a few patterns that start simulating a predefined mouse input when holding a hotkey:
    1) Perfect circle: I can confirm that matching or exceeding firearm RPM does work, while staying below has less of the effect. Beyond some small radius jitter does not eliminate more recoil, giving the user more nausea instead. And that radius is fairly small, just twice of the radius of the dot in the middle of 4x scope. Not the circle around - the dot. But as far as I tested, it only cuts the recoil by half and does not kill it completely, I just eliminated the human factor and my muscle memory that would pull the mouse down.
    2) Vertical, horizontal or diagonal lines: it is almost like the aim must travel a certain distance for it to be counted towards reduction, so in order to make straight lines as effective as circles the the jitter with lines has to be visibly larger, which would cause even more nausea.
    3) Snapping between two points: if the frequency is the same as the gun RPM then it has a tini-tiny effect. Snapping at the frequency of the framerate can achieve the same effect as with circle but with the least amount of shaking. If made into a "third-party-software" - undetectable recoil reduction... macro. Although, it might be tricky, since it requires preforming snapping every game tick, which is effectively means I'd need to look into the game's memory for that.

    • @Txrje
      @Txrje  3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      It's doable, but you're most likely going to be more consistent with a more traditional control method at closer ranges. Movement gets tricky to read and react to correctly while your aim is shaking around, so you can do circle method at close to close-mid range, and jitter any further than that!

    it's definitely interesting to find this out but I wouldn't recommend telling people that they should be tensing their arms for something as common as recoil control. You're basically giving harmful advice to other players without the disclaimer that doing this a lot could seriously damage your arm.

    • @Txrje
      @Txrje  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In-game you never really shoot for long enough at a time for any pain to be relevant, but I see what you're saying. Yes, please do a couple stretches between games if you want to consistently use this recoil control method, I've been through tendonitis and RSI before (through jitter mashing in my speedruns) and it's not worth skipping stretches until it's too late!

    • @imikirei
      @imikirei 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Txrje Well said. I would like too add however that many people can experience issues from very short periods of strain especially so when the action is repeated. Honestly, the most important thing for anyone using this technique that if you feel pain at any time you should stop until it doesn't hurt anymore and try and work on a technique that doesn't give you any pain or discomfort.

    • @Txrje
      @Txrje  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Oh! I think I figured this out subconsciously. But I compensate by spamming a,d-a,d-a,d… in combination of softer mouse sway instead. It’s not as perfect but it’s conservative energy.

    Nice music. Also, hope somebody comes up with a less straining way to perform this for you all lmao I naturally taught myself to jitter click growing up, but it definitely wears me out super quickly.
    I don't play mouse/keyboard for almost anything, nor do I play Apex specifically, but just for an idea of something that could spread the work between multiple muscles would maybe be something like alternating tapping your thumb and pinky/ring finger on the sides of the mouse to achieve high mouse movement rates. Not sure which fingers are common to use for what on the mouse for this game or if that would give up too much control lol

    Quick question, is there an easier way to accomplish this fast/small movement of the crosshair? I can’t really jitter aim that well, and I know the answer to that is to practice but I can’t tighten my forearm that well. Is there another technique I could use that would be easier to shake my crosshair fast besides the oscillation method.
    Edit: besides recoil smoothening too, I really don’t like doing that. And what I meant is that is there an easy way to use the oscillation method, like do I just need to turn my sense up a little to make smaller movements easier? And is there a way I can use my wrist, I feel I have a lot of control with that

  • @mowgli6345
    @mowgli6345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What are you physically doing with your hand? When I tense my wrist up to jitter it starts to really hurt my wrist very quickly. Not feasible unless there's a technoque.

    Will that cause problems with any weapon at the moment?

    How do you do this? I'm trying to do exactly what you're doing, but I just can't. I can't seem to get the movement, and if I try to do the circles, I end up doing way too big of circles to the point where my gun isn't even aiming at the target. Same with jitterclicking, I've never been able to do that. I can't even successfully do it with the rampage.

      Check your DPI. Jitter-aiming is significantly easier at higher DPI. 1300 and up. If you are on 400 DPI then you'd need to increase your sensitivity to compensate.
