What a beautiful movie definitely brought me to tears. I lost my late husband and 3 children in a car crash some years ago. When people say they can't breath, we'll that was me for a long time. I loved this movie ,so much pain I could relate to the heartache .I lost my father when I was 6yrs old .I feel like I steeled my heart in order to survive .I really loved my dad and the shock was enormous as I had no idea .Even Writing these words is like facing something that I havent been able to look at for all my life .Alcohol played a big part in my life for 30yrs and then I got into sportaholism and then careeraholism and relationship co-dependancy .Finally it all fell down 8yrs ago and I lost my big paid job.My relationship struggled but I couldnt run cos we had a 2yr old boy.God reached out to me and took me out of my pain and we have been walking together since.My relationship is ok but I am healing on the inside lots and able at least to be a goodish father.Wow such a journey to heal my broken heart .I can totally relate to them all in this story.Great film thanks

I lost my mother on my birthday. Six months to the day, my stepfather joined her. Thirteen days after that, my dad died. I guess you'd call that a trifecta. This was my first Thanksgiving alone, and I have nothing to be thankful for right now. At least I have four cats, including a stray kitten that wandered in last month, to keep me company. I decided to watch this again for some unknown reason, hoping it might help. I think Christmas is going to be Hell too. I love Joey's quips in this movie, like when she asks who doesn't have a cell phone these days and he says, "Apparently neither of us." It made me laugh. I played a cop on TV for two seasons, and my character was exactly like that. It's a fun part to play; humor inside of dark drama. This is a really good movie. It's reminiscent of "Facing the Giants" in its message.
You have experienced no loss because they all belong to God. Death is a part of life. We are here for time then we go back. You can only be grateful for the time you had with them remember everything is for a time and a season Stop the crying because God said Sorrow not. When you continuously cry you actually insulting God and your loved ones who are alive in Heaven. Move on. They want you to move on.

I am sorry that the loved ones you mention have died. The deaths of those we love causes us pain and a terrible sense of loss. And a terrible kind of emptiness. And a terrible confusion that no one could possibly understand how you feel. One day you will be able to welcome the new day rejoicing for what you had, who you had. @@sharondoan1447 Thanks Sharon. I am now back to 100%, but it did something to me. I lost a lot of fight and I no longer have any drive or impetus to do anything around the house. It reminds me of what they called shell shock when I was a kid. I guess today, it's what is referred to as PTSD.

I find it amusing how she needed a ride and then went out of the car just to reminisce high school.. and totally feeling close to the one guy who barely offered her a ride. I'm so introverted.. Sorry I cant really relate how fast they got closer and open up to each other like that. I just can't. And instead of going to her home, she guided them to his mother's home. What a miracle!
It can happen. I have had an experience like that before where there was an instant connection. We were camping with mutual friends. We found ourselves swinging in the hammock together just two hours after meeting. The next day, a couple there asked us how long we had been dating. They were shocked when we told them that we had just met the day before. Our mutual friends even asked us if we knew one another prior to the trip.

Grace was given a role as though she was the Holy Spirit drawing Rick back from utter hopelessness, back to life. Thought the movie was good but what a tear jerker. I'm a 65 year old woman with no family or husband. Have just a 80 year old friend who lives in another state. We have not seen each for around 12 years. Miss her like crazy. God brought her into my life when I was 30 and my Ma was dying of cancer. Guess it was not His plan to have me marry someone or have children. I just hope that my friend Fay and I will be found worthy to make it to heaven.

Grace was given a role as though she was the Holy Spirit drawing Rick back from utter hopelessness, back to life.

After watching it then I learned from the story for myself that we don’t ever give up in our lives even though we go through very painful things and we don’t blame God for what happened. Thought the movie was good but what a tear jerker. I'm a 65 year old woman with no family or husband. Have just a 80 year old friend who lives in another state. We have not seen each for around 12 years. Miss her like crazy. God brought her into my life when I was 30 and my Ma was dying of cancer. Guess it was not His plan to have me marry someone or have children. I just hope that my friend Fay and I will be found worthy to make it to heaven.
