Good morning Daniel, thanks for taking the time to put this together and sharing your skills to break these contracts down so as farmers can make a more informed decision.

You're welcome Matthew. There were some eye openers as I went through some of them! Hope your harvest is under way?

Hi Daniel, sorry for the slow reply.
Harvest is underway and going okay. Has harvest commenced at Nutkin?
      I hope all going well.

    Good effort. Thank you.
    Few clarifications.
M.D. ownership is Finasucre, who own Bundy sugar and a number of macadamia farms in Bundaberg region.
C.L are Hong Kong Chinese owned. They own a number of farms in the 3 main regions. Will offer a dehusking facility in Bundaberg this season. On Saturday the sizing penalty was removed and a bonus is paid for +24mm of 10%. Believe all regions purchasing.
APM. USK neutral at 2%. Whole load reject at 5%.
Although contract states whole load at $2.70 if over 10% < 22mm I have seen written evidence that only the element below 22mm is penalised.
FFA is Steinhart reborn. They retained the 'happy nut' business and are drying cutting packaging and flavouring cut NIS for sale mainly to Asian countries.
    Alloway also offered $3.50.
The detail that Hawaii variety growers should consider ( and was not discussed in an otherwise comprehensive run through) is the deductions below 33%. For example FFA are 5c and SGM are 10c.
Put simply the NIS exporters are driving market, kernel lags. Most processors issue a summary of previous years deliveries making running these contracts pretty easy for your farm.

Ian that is great feedback - thank you for the additional information, it will benefit those weighing up the offers.

@@nutkinfarm for clarity the SGM volume bonus is payable on the entire delivery, not volumes above a certain level.

@@JJLanSmith that's how it read to me too Julian - thank you for confirming this.

This will give the farmers a competitive edge and could help push the price up
    Good work Dan

Thanks Matti. I don't know about pushing the price up but if we can have farmers better informed about what their choices really are, there's a fairer basis for competition at least.

Oh. And the Marquis price fine print is really heavy. If you are a shareholder the notional could rise with market. If you supply and you're not a shareholder the $3.20 is your maximum price - no bonus. If notional falls then you will get less!

    • @nutkinfarm
      @nutkinfarm  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yeah - I had to be time efficient so I couldn’t mention that level of detail - shareholders of Marquis and SC Gold can also get a dividend too obviously.

What a great service you provide for the ripped off growers , ( in my opinion ). Hope it helps them .Bless you .

Thanks Golden! Competition can only work if the target market can understand the offerings, so I’m trying to contribute to that understanding.
