I don’t fish, but I kinda feel like this would be a great light daypack. I realize slings don’t do well overloaded, but between a light rain jacket and water bottle, some snacks, phone, emergency essentials and maybe a knife it really would carry well!

I have this pack but have yet to figure out if there is a way to hold your fly rod while using the pack to change flies etc without coming to shore.
Is the fly patch removable?
