- Explore art history from prehistoric to contemporary times, including a deeper look at global artworks. By gaining knowledge of art history, students develop an appreciation of the visual arts. View, learn, and understand visual art through the elements of art and principles of design as well as by studying a variety of media. In this course, students interpret and evaluate works of art within formal, cultural, and historical contexts.
