The village Osmače is about 20 kilometers from Srebrenica, it is recognizable by the beauty of nature, the widely known potato and as the first village in Bosnia and Herzegovina with solar street lighting.
Once, around a thousand inhabitants lived here, and after the war, only about a hundred returned. All of them are characterized with the desire for success and progress in small businesses.
In this returnee place, the inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry, and to a certain extent tourism, because a large number of foreigners, especially Italians, come to this place, especially in the summer months.
In written documents, Osmače is mentioned in the second half of the eighteenth century. Due to its geographical location, this region was the starting point for wars of conquest for many conquerors and military forces.
