Thank you. Most don't realize how many of these motors we do complete rebuilds on. They think at this point they are trash and replace them when we can rebuild them almost from any condition to new.
You did not show how to remount the motor shaft gear after putting the armature back into the motor frame. How is that gear secured to the shaft? If the gear slips on the shaft how is that fixed? Tell us the whole story. I sent my super motor to a guy in PA to fix due to an exploded commutator. Got it back, motor runs fine. Put engine (Lionel No 8) on the track with 3 cars like it used to run. It went 5 ft and stopped. That motor shaft gear is slipping. That guy never tested it under load.
