bought myself a hobie outback. a older mode, 2006 but still a very good fishing kayak. went out mid august to the sound from under narrows bridge to point defiance and i gotta say, those currents are no joke. only caught a small flounder and rockfish though. are there any good areas you know of near tacoma for halibut?
I’ve only caught one, so definitely not an expert but I’ve been told they don’t make it that far south in the sound. They’re more in the strait and ocean. Be very careful if you want to target them there. The weather is much rougher and it tends to be notably cooler. Lingcod are a good warm up fish and they are definitely in the sound. Thanks for watching!
Is that a Sculpin? Anyway, radical!
Ya. Cabezon are the largest of the sculpin family.
