    Fritters:
    1kg sweet potatoes (chopped/baked),
    1 red onion (thinly diced),
    2 garlic cloves (chopped),
    Few chopped leaves of coriander/chillantro,
    ~400g (1 tin) chickpeas ( rinsed),
    1 tsp salt,
    3 tsp tamari sauce,
    2 tsp ground cumin,
    1/2 tsp smoked paprika,
    Pinch of black pepper,
    1/2 chopped chilli (or more, according to taste),
    Juice of 1/2 lemon,
    Potato masher/blender action ;)
    150 g frozen peas aka green beans 😂
    Put all that mixture on the parchment paper. Make patties with cutter.
    Batter:
    3 tbs gram/chickpea SIEVED flour (or other flour),
    Pinch of salt,
    Approx. 15ml of water
    Mix it up & make thin batter.
    Fry ;)
    Enjoy!

    I don't have any sweet potatoes at the moment, but I have normal potatoes, so I believe that I can make some delicious fritters with those too, just have to dig through my recipes (and not only mine, I want to try more recipes, not only what my mind can produce) :)

    • @Upscent
      @Upscent 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just made 2 batches. One I baked with just dry chickpea flour and the others I fried according to the recipe. Too hot to try yet.
      Edit: recipes like this are the reason why I still have a few kilos to lose :D I stuffed my face with 3 and it's not even lunchtime yet. They are amazing either way. Of course, the fried ones are tastier. The chickpea crust is crunchy and they are a bit mushy on the inside and the flavors are incredible. Oh, my!

    • @shelleyanne3522
      @shelleyanne3522 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @Upscent
      @Upscent 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I baked one batch and fried another. The baked ones are fab as well. Pro tip, at least in my opinion - make them flatter and thinner so that the inside cooks well too. I pulled out mine too soon and they are absolutely divine but I see they could have used some more cooking. What can I say, I am just too impatient.

    • @shelleyanne3522
      @shelleyanne3522 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I enjoy all your recipes. thank you. I'm believing there are many reasons to cook as a vegan. One of them is health. There is always a concern about the chemicals flaking off in a non stick skillet and there is a question as to whether the non stick coating is toxic. Maybe you don't share those concerns. I choose a well seasoned cast iron skillet, which is so similar to cooking in a non stick skillet, instead, for some of these reasons. Why do you choose to cook your fabulously healthy meals in non stick pans. Just curious. Again, enjoy everything you post and just purchased your new cookbook, which arrived yesterday. Thanks

    Hello guys .. just did this recipe and it tasted AMAZING, but I do have some questions about it
    1) when I made the batter it turned out so mushy and there wasn't any texture to it, is freezing it will make it better ?
    2) is the flour dipping necessary can we skip this step ? because when I fried it it was crispy from the outside but still mushy on the inside
    3) can we bake them ? if so for how long and at what temperature please ?
    Thank you so much once again for your amazing work
    keep on being awesome dudes :))
