I think I realized something about the lyrics.. I think this song is interpreting the tragic story of Yuu and Mikaela.. The second verse is the only one caught me first. The verse "I don't know if I have lost you yet" is from Yuu believing that Mika is dead and would do anything avenge his family. But he doesn't know that Mikaela is actually alive as a vampire. The other one "do they control you like a marionette?" Is from Mika wondering if Yuu is being Manipulated by the Moon demon company.

All those wondering about whether or not LeeandLie will do any further Sword Art Online songs the answer is no. She previously said she was not feeling them (Which is perfectly understandable) however that only applies to the ones currently out. Im sure when season 3 comes out, which it will, she will take a stride again towards the SAO world. One more note, season 2 of Owari No Seraph comes out October this year so do not fret that its all over!

Double negatives are kinda frowned upon in English, and as an almost English major myself, even just typing it out is cringe-worthy haha. What's really being said there is "I want everyone to get killed" and I don't think the Japanese writers realized this (since it doesn't fit with the rest of the song), which is also one of the reasons I changed it, other than it being a really awkwardly written line. Hope you enjoyed it other than that though~! :)

I'll admit I kept seeing this vid pop up in my recommendations and avoided it because I had that elitist attitude that it can't be as good as the original. That, and I've had pretty negative experiences with people covering anime OPs. I was surprised at first that some of the lyrics were tweaked, but I think you did a great job of keeping them pretty faithful while amended some of the more.... ah, awkward English turns of phrase into something more fluid. I think I realized something about the lyrics.. I think this song is interpreting the tragic story of Yuu and Mikaela..
The second verse is the only one caught me first. The verse "I don't know if I have lost you yet" is from Yuu believing that Mika is dead and would do anything avenge his family. But he doesn't know that Mikaela is actually alive as a vampire. The other one "do they control you like a marionette?" Is from Mika wondering if Yuu is being Manipulated by the Moon demon company.
God this hit the feels.. Can't wait for season 3 of Owari No Seraph/Seraph Of The End. ;3💕

All those wondering about whether or not LeeandLie will do any further Sword Art Online songs the answer is no. She previously said she was not feeling them (Which is perfectly understandable) however that only applies to the ones currently out. Im sure when season 3 comes out, which it will, she will take a stride again towards the SAO world. One more note, season 2 of Owari No Seraph comes out October this year so do not fret that its all over!

I prefer the original but this is still really good! Great work! The only gripe I have is that it didn't start out with "I don't want nobody to be killed" that's a really important part of the song to me so I felt alienated right from the start. Overall it's fantastic though.
Prorogon - Lord of the Jags "I don't want nobody to get killed" is ... a double negative. Double negatives are kinda frowned upon in English, and as an almost English major myself, even just typing it out is cringe-worthy haha. What's really being said there is "I want everyone to get killed" and I don't think the Japanese writers realized this (since it doesn't fit with the rest of the song), which is also one of the reasons I changed it, other than it being a really awkwardly written line. Hope you enjoyed it other than that though~! :)

I'll admit I kept seeing this vid pop up in my recommendations and avoided it because I had that elitist attitude that it can't be as good as the original. That, and I've had pretty negative experiences with people covering anime OPs.
I was surprised at first that some of the lyrics were tweaked, but I think you did a great job of keeping them pretty faithful while amended some of the more.... ah, awkward English turns of phrase into something more fluid. Your voice is pretty lovely, and it sounds great with this song. Sorry I avoided it so long, but dang, you did a fantastic job on it!

I'm not necessarily saying that there's anything wrong with trying to save yuu from the humans because he's his family but he takes it so far to the point where he's just an annoying character in my opinion
