Hi mate, pls help me with this my horse is standing with his left forelimb forward when resting in stall after we returned from riding.is it because of the stone bruise or something else.pls reply thanks a lot.

Stone Bruise: This is a common cause. If the horse stepped on a sharp object, it might be favoring the other limb to reduce pressure on the bruised hoof.
Lameness: Any form of lameness or injury to the limb, joint, or hoof could cause this stance. It might be due to a minor strain or a more serious issue like a tendon injury.
Abscess: A hoof abscess can cause significant pain, leading the horse to favor the affected leg.
Muscle Soreness: After a ride, muscle soreness or fatigue could also cause a horse to rest one leg more than the other.
If the behavior persists or if the horse shows signs of pain (such as limping or reluctance to move), it's best to consult a veterinarian to diagnose and treat the underlying issue.
