Love these drums! My only complaint is that I had just figured out how to make my previous drum VST sound like an Odeholm mix(with WAY too many plugins and multiouts) and this just comes out of nowhere and makes all my work pointless lmao. At least now I don't have to wait for a million plugins to load to get this heavy sound. That processed kit is NICE. My only change to it is most likely gonna be a slight EQ on the kick and snare directs, but otherwise this is PERFECT for what I'm doing. And, it sounds like the unprocessed kit would be perfect to mold into a Wolfenstein New Colossus kinda drum sound(another sound I've been chasing with little success with other drum plugins.) All in all, so glad Odeholm Drums is a reality. I've been dreaming of a GGD One Kit Wonder: Odeholm since I heard Ashen, and this is basically that but more.
I remember dreaming about a plugin like this about 10 years ago and one of the first ones that had quite strong processing was mjolnir drums xD great job as always ! aaa I forgot to add that there was also djentghuggah vst
I would say so for sure. I hated having to set up multis in the older Kontakt. And maybe it’s just for this specific drum kit but It’s soo much easier. Old Kontakt limited the amount of outs I could have in Ableton specifically
Sounds so sick. Hey what string gauge are you using for that low A? I have a 30" baritone and I keep it around C with a 95 for the lowest string, I'd like a little more tension for going lower without having to go TOO too thick on the lowest string
hey thank you! And wow, my answer is going to disappoint you haha. So far I've been using the .100 for the A0. I'm considering trying a .110 for A to get a bit more stability and also have the option to try lower if wanted
Nah honestly that's kind of what I was thinking of jumping to next! Probably 110 to play with good tension around B0. Thanks for the info as always bro!
Not as low but I’m running D’Addario EXL158 set and bought a .090 bass string to go with it. Maybe something similar could be done. I just order strings on Amazon most of the time. I’ve got an extended scale bass in Drop E and I had to get the low string custom made by Kalium strings in California. I think I have a .190 on it?? Lmao
I would buy these drums, i really would - but seeing the amount of AI art plastered all over Buster's official site while charging an extreme amount for this kit is a huge dealbreaker for me.
@@BrendonKPadjasek yeah, there used to be more but right now if you just scroll down, the buttons for 'Guitar Presets and IRs' and 'Free Stuff' use AI generated images, along with the background of 'Kontakt Instruments', and if you scroll down more, the background for the black friday sale button is also AI.
@@EvelynnPlaysGuitar fair enough if that makes it unusable for you I'm sorry. At least the drums and sounds and product you're buying isn't AI hahaha but I totally understand your point of view
@ yeah i don’t knock anyone else who gets them i just personally don’t feel great sending that much money to someone who uses AI image generation for financial gain
Try the drums for yourself here: odeholm-audio.com/products/odeholm-drums
Nice find! Odeholm Drums really nails that heavy metal sound. 🤘🌟
Definitely! I’m trying it with different genres and it works really well for more poppier genres as well especially with that deep snare
I’ve had this drum library for like 2 weeks and I never knew about the advantages of using the unprocessed version. It sounds so much more real.
Oh yeah. The processed sounds great for what it is but I always like to try to get the most out of a library and make them sound completely how I want
amazing! bought it myself yesterday
yeah they are phenomenal
The. Absolute. BEST. Been writing like crazy with these drums. Great video Brendon!
Thank you! I actually love them. They sound real yet still produced
one thing I forgot to mention, the velocities are phenomenal
When I heard Buster was releasing a drum VST, I already knew I had to get them. They sound insane!
They are so damn good im obsessed
@@BrendonKPadjasek So sick! Can't wait to try them out
@CZitoMusic you’re going to love them

Yeah it’s definitely much nicer when the tones themself are great and then multi out those shells. He killed it
In my shopping cart as we speak!
So glad to hear that! I’m so happy with them
would be so cool if there was a blend knob for the processed sound. The kit sounds so sick everybody will use it :D . And all will sound similar.
That would be a very interesting addition. Great call! Yeah I’m in love with the sound of the kit

Crazy, I had never heard of either of those. We’re really lucky these days with the amount of quality plugins coming out
@@BrendonKPadjasek Solemn Tones mjolnir
@radekmusic1846 oh sick! Didn’t realize they’ve been around that long
That processed snare is so insane right 😂
It’s insane. I don’t know what he did to the kick on the processed version but that’s also insane haha
Get em Den
Hahahaha once that new computer gets in, get em
Is it easier to route drums in Kontakt 8 than 7? Always feels so overwhelming to do that...Thanks for a great demo!!

@christopherdamron269 no problem at all! Do you know of good places to order custom strings that size?

@somepulp97 sounds about right hahaha. I think getting a single for the top string is my only option

It’s all good that these plugins exists, but all the good ones are breaking my bankaccount😥
The struggle of being a musician in 2025 where everything is available and every week there’s a new sick plugin haha

Too limited in my opinion. But as a writing tool, sure.
Fair enough , which one do you like more?
