      I absolutely love this tedder! It’s been awesome. Pretty positive you’ll like it. By the way my son attends the University of Alabama so I visited there for the first time last summer, beautiful state. Thanks for watching

      I’ve got a little video of it coming in a few days. I’m hoping to get more soon. Dad has been using it mostly while I’m at work. Thanks

    Everything I know about Tedders I pretty much learned from you. We didn’t have one on our old farm. We’d just let the hay dry as much on top as it could, then rake it and let the windrows dry a bit. However, if the rains came, we’d take the side off of our old Allis 5’ bush hog and have to scatter the windrows out and start the process again after it dried lol. Needless to say, that was some years ago since I sat an AC WD-45 and did that 👍🏻

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s interesting! Mike had said before the Tedder came around he would also take the side off a bush hog and run through the hay quickly which would have a similar effect of the Tedder. Thanks for sharing this idea Mark!

      @Mark-Marine 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@khtractors of course, the modern bush hogs don’t have removable sides. AC developed theirs removable so as to be an all-in-one: you could mow the pastures/brush with it or remove the side and use it to cut hay (or as I described earlier as a Tedder). The downside with using it as a hay cutter/tedder was the amount of PTO hp it took vs a sickle mower or conventional tedder. Of course, gas was .20/gal then (most tractors were gas). Have a good day, Ben.

    Our 17 foot kuhn was new to us this year, saves about half the field time and also does a better job on the spread, those European tedders have held up to a good reputation, a friend of mine has one and he swears by it... As far as the arms being lighter than the krone, thats probably going to be the best place to have a weak point in the drive line. Definitly rather see a tine arm or tooth shear off versus putting a jolt to your gear box. Keep it in the shed and that unit should last you a very long time!

    Hi Ben looking at a 10 wheel v rake by this ennrosse 6500 brand new what do u think that’s a really nice Tedder I like it

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as it’s the genuine v rake style that would be good. They make a version that looks a lot like my New Holland and then a lighter duty version with two 3 point wheel rakes mounted on a cart. 10 wheel for me is too much on first cutting hay, but with a wide mouth baler it might would work out. On the 8 wheel I really could use gathering wheels on my baler at times the windrow gets so wide.
