I'm doing a character ai rp with the guy and Gascoigne has been rizzing me up, the worst part is that I read it and his voice is all I hear so I've fully started simping for him 😭
Why didn’t they flesh out Gascoigne more, it seems like he could’ve been a friend or companion leading up to the graveyard where he goes insane, instead of just a small summon barely anyone sees unless they’re on NG+
he was a friendly npc in the alpha. you meet him at the great bridge and he helps you to fight the cleric beast. after this fight he uses the door behind the cleric beast and closes it behind him so you can't follow him. the next time you meet him is at the graveyard
There’s a very asmr quality to the voice acting. Also hearing the dialogue in so many different languages is really cool. Also Gascoigne’s Brazilian va is REALLY good

jeezus the casting for all these languages was on point. I don't have a ton of familiarity with media and how often they try to make all voices from other languages sound as similar as possible. Some that I've heard have quite a big variance in both the voice and the line delivery, but all these guys? D A M N
...Just want to thank you so much for your work. I always was interested in other voices in Bloodborne, that's why I had to furrow the expanses of TH-cam and watch the videos of random dudes just because I was interested in characters voices. And when I found your channel... I felt myself happy. Just really. Thank you so much and keep it up! It's so very interesting and amazing. Personally I can't wait to hear more stuff, especially, Mikoláš dialogues, so, will follow your channel with a great pleasure. Thank you once more time, keep it up!)
Ive always been curious, because in English we have many different dialects which are very prominent in bloodborne. In this case Father Gascoigne uses the dialect we use in Dublin, whereas many of the other characters use various dialects from England. Do they make this differentiation in the other languages if so what way do they do it?
In the Brazilian one they kinda used formal/informal language to indicate it, but only in a few characters. Btw i'm playing in english and the v.a is waaay better
@@guilherme6437 French is the same. They use informal a few times (Eileen is a good example), but otherwise, everyone speaks the same. English's VA is much more fleshed out.
They differentiate it cause Father Gascoigne as well as Eileen are both foreigners like the character, not born in Yharnham. Its a nice touch, really, paying attention even to the slight details such as how a character speaks to tell a story.
@@zm9126 It's even more layered if you know a bit of english history; Yharnham is based on Victorian England, which was Protestant at the time, while Ireland was still a majority Catholic, so the talk about Father Gascoigne getting his title from a different faith in a different land makes even more sense.
Father Gascoigne emphasizes the paradox of this game. You think you are doing good, but you are killing what once were decent human beings. So are you really better than everyone else? In the end Gascoigne says "forgive me" , making his story truly a tragedy, given how all his family gets killed.
hi, if you see this muge, could i possibly trouble you for the cut screaming grunting etc? if you have the rips i can PM you an email to send them! might need them for a little project
Was the requirement for Gascoigne's casting "must sound hot" ?

You can actually summon him
Vince Leyva that makes absolutely no sense, eileen alfred and all the other npc’s exist
I passed by his summon sign but was afraid to touch it because I thought it summoned a boss or something
I get that this guy is married and can get b-tches but JESUS CHRIST HE'S SMOOTH
