CBS News celebrate Cronkite's 100th birthday

  • CBS News marks what would have been the 100th birthday of legendary TV news pioneer Walter Cronkite. He was born November 4th, 1916 in St. Joseph, Missouri. And that's the way it is, as he famously said at the end of his news shows.

    He was the BEST!!!! A man you could really trust. Miss him dearly. RIP Walter. I wonder what he’s thinking up there about the mess this world is in today?????

    That's the way Cronkite saw it. After he retired, he admitted to being a communist.
