Thank you so much for these ideas. After watching your video I embedded the Snoopy song in a powerpoint and everyday at 10:32, I press play and my kids know exactly what to do, tidy up, put snack on your desk, get coat, and line up for recess. The delightful tune puts a lid on their chatter. I had a guest teacher recently and she said the slide (and transition) was magical. Thank you so much!!!

Yahooooo. I’m glad you got to see the magic. Kids want to do a good job and when we give them a solid routine and make it fun it really does feel like magic. Thanks for sharing your success.

It’s awesome. I’m not sure which brilliant teacher came up with it but it’s very effective and fun.

Thank you! Do your dots with their names attach to the ground? If so, can you please share how? And how do you keep students from playing with the dots?

Great question. The dots are a hook and loop material (velcro) and they don't play with them too much if they are sitting on them. If they do start playing with them it's a pretty good indication that I need to switch stuff up and get them up and moving or talking.
