00:00 - Jehovah Shalom
05:52 - The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord…so the Lord gave them over to an enemy - the Midianites.
06:32 - The enemy was so cruel that it drove the Israelites to cry out to the Lord.
06:37 - Israel thought the problem was the Midianites, but the real problem was Israel. It's human nature to blame others for problems that we cause.
13:16 - The Lord appears to Gideon as the “angel of the Lord”. Theophany- an Old Testament appearance of Jesus Christ (V.14 & 16).
15:24 - The Lord calls him a ‘mighty hero/warrior/man of valor’ even though Gideon is hiding from the enemy.
23:54 - Gideon could not save Israel-but a mighty God who was with him could.
24:48 - This was not only to build up Gideon’s self-confidence, but to assure him that God was truly with him.

Wow, I'm just 5 min into this and my first thoughts were why our borders are open..humm
