Shout out to the man on the scooter for chasing and returning the bike. People rarely go out of their way to be helpful anymore and it's just awesome to see that not everyone in the world sucks

The guy could have been armed or way more violent than he was which would have ended worse than that.
It paid off this time, but how many stories did we hear about such heroic act ending at the hospital or worse....

Calling a legal manoeuvre " Lane splitting" confuses easily confused car drivers. We in the UK call it "filtering" & it's always been fine with "most" (there is always one) car drivers.
Lane splitting is when everyone is moving filtering is going between stopped cars to get to the front
I must have encountered at least ten of the "there's always ones" in the past couple of days.

Rule 1, if someone passes you off on the road, don't turn around to follow them. Just keep going. You never know what people are capable of or what weapons they have or if they're having a really bad day and you're going to be the straw that breaks the camels back.

I'm a biker and yes, there are situations that come up that can really piss you off but I try to ride within the rules and even if lane splitting was legal here, you would never see me doing it. I think it's incredibly dangerous. I think it would be unnerving to be driving a car, especially on the freeway and have that happen. Just me of course but I think it is totally irresponsible.
I hear ya!!!!!! I live near Chicago and this is everyday to me. Though its illegal to split lanes and its pointless we are all commuters. I feel like I'm cutting in line at a grocery store. Ain't Gonna Do It.

He was to the right side of the lane going straight where he should have been. If he was to the right of the truck he would be trying to go straight when people are supposed to turn right in the lane. The bike was in the right.
technicaly he is breaking the law you can not pull up on a bike in the same lane as a car/trunk . they all like to but it's illegal and yes the truck is actually in that lane and the other lane too . the truck is in the wrong but so is the biker.

As a rider myself, I do not understand confronting people over doing stupid things. Following someone to confront them or meeting them at lights to have a shouting match or fight is stupid. You will run into rude, stupid, and angry people. I will give people looks or shake my head but not confront them. They are usually in a 3000+ pound car, could be armed, and you are sitting on a 400 pound motorcycle! A mere push-over can hurt or pin you. Live to ride another day, unless there is NO choice but to defend yourself. Get away from them and go about enjoying your ride!
