Koe no kotachi is perhaps one of the best movie's I've ever seen. It captures social anxiety and bullying really well and how it affects us. The balcony scene made me a wreck.
It's probably still out in Theaters in Japan, so Blu-Rays won't be distributed for another few months. I'd expect it to be available on Streaming Platforms around June or July; but that's just a supposition.

it's been 8 years since i watched this movie and 8 years since I listened to this song...this is the best way to describe my school days, I like how it makes me feel like my kid self again. i just showed my childhood best friend this movie, we watched it on my laptop and he liked it and we chatted a little bit about it and I told him about how this reminds me of our days in middle school and even after he left to another school for highschool but we still hungout, makes me feel grateful to have him as a friend and that just makes me think of how far I've come, I'm so fucking grateful for everything and I hope if I ever feel like I lose touch of it I get reminded again and again. i used to be nice even to the ones who don't give a shit gentle to both the caring and the mean and I feel like over the years I lost that and I know that its a good thing I get to stand up for myself and not let someone talk shit to me, but I think I miss it cause of how genuinely nice I was being I miss how caring I was to other and how sweet I could be and I just feel that changing made me lose someone completely but it was just me changing. so off topic but this movie also reminds me of the time I watched it with a girl I liked, I talked with her for years about everything and anything we liked, we made playlists for each other almost everyday we made sure to ask how things are going and to say goodmorning and goodnight, I even told her the moon looks pretty but I never could confess to her that I liked her, I thought all the gifts were that way of saying but that just sounds ridiculous now. i hope shes doing ok now, she got married last year so good on her, I knew she always wanted that life of marriage and I'm more happy than sad about it. i don't know wtf this whole thing I'm writing is about, maybe it's about how im feeling right now, or maybe im being overdramatic about things cause I just got reminded of a lot more things, I mean fuck it made me cry typing this, but it's not really about her getting married, i think it's the whole experience of being a teenager and now being a 22 year old man that is turning 23 this year, im just grateful for my friends, family and myself. thank you for reading
