"Vanilla main" is such a good concept. I don't really like mods because theres always so much to learn, but something integrated like this is absolutely incredible
If so: i really suggest you watch systemZee this guy makes mods(a lot of them) that are very vanilla friendly like improving things already in and stuff

@@sh21dow Yeah, except two things: His concepts are either really non-vanilla or just way too minor. I have only liked like, 2 of his videos. That and he’s annoying af, can’t fault him for that because of Algorithm stuff but still :p
I think that adding more dimensions is a good way of not killing the whole vanilla vibe of the main game but it still give more content to explore. I think that you should make a part 2 of this as this is a very interesting concept!
Same with adding any update, the whole point of updates is to give more content. XD
Cold deep slate may be a reference to the early deepslate texture from when the Deep Dark was first revealed

I definitely think the Deep Dark is opening doors for a new End update! Sculk stuff looks so similar to End Portal frames so I think they might be finally gearing up to do something new with The End. Maybe new areas/blocks/items/mobs hopefully.
Indeed. Maybe you arrive in an other biome so you have to travel to the dragon, instead of starting there.
Also the concept of an Enderman and the Warden is a bit the same... you have to try that they dont notice you... The warden is only way more strong.

Super cool idea! Though I would love more structures in the overworld to find for sure. (I have yet to legitimately run into a fossil or a mushroom island though)

Vanilla Minecraft is painfully in need of new structures.

I play RLcraft instead because it's actually rewarding to explore.
Yeah i play it since first official version, although a lot changed it's still mostly the same the terrain gen, the caves and nether are only things that changed massively, the end is practically exactly the same and so is the general feeling.
Try the default "Stronghold Below" seed on Bedrock. A mushroom island right near spawn, amongst other things...

I really hope they add a sculk dimension. Imagine sneaking around a whole world with these mobs that can instantly kill you in two hits. Not to mention we haven’t had an actual new dimension in a long time.

I think you should do more videos showcasing mods like the Quality of life improving mods, biome mods and stuff like that which improve the game without taking away the vanilla feel.

I really like the idea of the deep dark being a new spooky dimension and not just another biome. Either way I trust the devs will make it work so it's not totally game changing but if it ends up being a biome and there are mods out there transforming it to a dimension instead then I'm totally going to be downloading that instead

I was expecting more cave mobs as axolotls and glow squids are arguably more aquatic than cave
I think we need more on soul stuff. Its very interesting with the soul speed and faces in the sand, but that one enchantment is about all we have for it. There should be like soul zombies, maybe soul dust and somesort of energy like redstone.

a tip, if you will showcase any more mods in future, this could help you out, if you download mod called either just enough items or not enough items (I dont remember which one is for newer versions). This mod makes it so you can see all the recipes in the game, its super simple and works perfectly
I honestly have never heard someone pronounce emissary that way :D. I would love to see more about this mod. Maybe even more horror mods since I'm way too much of a baby to try them myself. LOL
@wattles the chances are is that the Wild Update will split into 2 parts like Caves & Cliffs. Part 1 we get most of the content from the Wild Update. Part 2 we get Sculk blocks & the Warden.
It would be really cool if you did a mini series called like "5 nights in the deep dark" where you try playing this in survival

i would love both. i feel like it could make sense (to add a dimension for it later on down the road) because the warden mysteriously comes out of the floor. like where is it coming from?
Heres a concept idea : if you kill the warden you can use something it drops and combine it with the skulk shrieker to go to the new dimension ( if it’s added)

I really liked the Deep Dark from Extra Utilities mod back in the day. ExUtils is now a different mod so idk if modern modded Minecraft still has that (but I'm guessing someone might've remade it).
Actually I think I know why you can wax sculk. I think it's because in the mod the warden can only be summoned on sculk, so waxing it prevents wardens from spawning there.

You should test mob strengths with full protection IV diamond and netherite armor. Maybe enchanted sword and bow too :D

I know that the devs were looking for some way to prevent cheezing the warden and I think the skulk jaw has potential for that. If the warden is angry at you but it's unable to do anything it should replace the block underneath you with a skulk jaw.
Thinking back to Minecraft live with the warden liking rabbits, it'd be kinda cool if there were just these little black and blue rabbits made from sculk (taking a bit from that sculk mush concept) that were somehow animated. Perhaps by the warden itself? 🤔 Idk, but I figured the deep dark is already pretty dangerous, so maybe the sculk rabbits could be a nice little bit of reprieve. And of course that wouldn't be the name, they'd just be meant to resemble rabbits made of fungi or something like that.

I definitely hope for more than just the warden as a mob in the deepdark, I hope there are more mobs, otherwise it'll be just too empty, although my thought is just converted vanilla mobs, like a sculkified zombie. There's already an ocean and desert variant, why not a new type that includes other mob-types as well, it feels about right of an idea. Perhaps the spawning rules change that alter the mobs that can spawn on the block, although I believe they shouldn't be much different, just a quality of life thing. And there might be a neat way to convert mobs, although I don't know what it'd be.
That guy needs to be a part of the development on the deep dark update

That Warden got the fresh cut
Upon seeing the title I imagine an extremely rare chance to find a portal at the VERY BOTTOM of the overworld where when you jump in, you are taken to the deep dark/under world.
This demention is DARK and is a random generation of non-overlapping stone hallways and staircases and sh*t like that. You got within this generation chance for other things to generate like the cities where the warden hunts you...
Chests with rare stuff like diamond, ancient debris, some other new stuff I guess...
You could find ancient debris blocks down there in the walls/ between hallways. New creepy-a** mobs...
would be f***ing cool, imo
i feel like once the warden is released on multiplayer it would be cool to try to bring it back to your base and keep it in a chamber as like a pet lmao. Imagine walking by someone's base and hearing it scream lol.
I hope this dimension is added. It could work, seeing as the portal frame *is* already existing.
The portal in the Ancient cities may lead to another dimension keyword the name "Warden" makes more sense

I would suggest you checking a modpack out; it's fun and harmless. modpack I suggest you is better minecraft for 1.16.5 forge

Wattles? This reminds me of World of Warcraft. I believe it would be a blast to play with friends? I mean how else can you beat those multiple mobs? Just about impossible? But a group of 2 to 4 friends that bring their woe could be just mayhem cool to kick butt in the game?
