- Khaldoon Al Mubarak says Manchester City’s transfer business is not complete, with the Club aiming to make further signings before the start of the 2022/23 season.
The Premier League champions have already agreed a deal in principle with Borussia Dortmund for Erling Haaland, whilst Argentine striker Julian Alvarez will join up with Pep Guardiola’s squad following the end of his loan spell at River Plate.
Their arrivals will give Guardiola increased options in attack, but the Chairman admitted the Club remain keen to strengthen elsewhere, suggesting more players could be brought in ahead of the new campaign.

It's a great touch from Manchester City, every year we have our chairman who sums up the season and gives targets for the next season. No other club does this, they only communicate through the match programmes or PR press releases. Kaldoon comes out and does face to face interviews and constantly delivers on a positive message.

This enthusiasm and dedication, together with a manager that talks tactics in his sleep, has been instrumental in city's success. We're so lucky to have them.

I've been a City fan for 55 years. It's been tough going for most of that time. What sets City apart now is not just the play, which is amazing, but the management of the business that is Manchester City.
There are so many good things to say about Man City, it's hard to know where to start. The team is more like a family than anything else. There are no disruptive players, unlike at most clubs. There are no egoists, who have a tantrum if they don't start or are taken off during a game.
The marketing of the club is on a different level from most other clubs. The videos and films covering the achievements of the club are extremely professional.
The club has invested in young players more than any other, and the results show that they are exceptional at training them.
The club has transformed the East of Manchester, removing eyesores that were there for decades and creating an attractive environment that provides jobs and entertainment for the local population.
Manchester City's management, under the present leadership, set out to please the fans of Manchester City and to swell their numbers. They have succeeded spectacularly.
Come on City. Champions again next season. Don't leave it to the last day next time. My heart can't stand it.

Coming back to this comment almost a year later and it's been as exciting at City as ever. We have a legit world class striker who has already scored 50 goals this season with 9-10 games still to go. We also have a fair chance at winning the treble. Come on CITY!!!

Dude has poured everything into this club. Pep is the reason we have become so dominant but Khaldoon will always make sure we are near the top of the league. We are in amazing hands here.

@@desmond89 You don’t sell aguero, silva, toure , kompany, hart and zabaleta . You let these legends go from the club on their terms. But then while replacing them, you will need to buy. Liverpool had a lot of average players, hence Klopp sold and bought. City didn’t had that option. For sane and ferran Torres they had that option and they did great business. You have to see the context.

Love how Khaldoon always says Manchester City in full. The man oozes class, vision and commitment. Thank you Mr Chairman and HRH Sheikh Mansour for everything you do for this wonderful club of ours.
He's spoken so many things into existence! If you look back, he predicted City's dominance back in '08. Down to them being in the CL final within 10 years (it took them 12). He said they'd at least finish in the top 4, every year. That's why Man City has so much pressure to win the Champions League; 'cause they're the only English club that's been in contention to do so every year for more than a decade! This expertly well-run club owes so much to Khaldoon. More Life to him - and the rest of the higher-ups.
City will win the CL. It is basically a new club and has been competed high in the CL.
Also, it is not an easy tournament to win. Sir Fergie just 2 CL with United.

To sum up one of important points he mentioned that the academy from 8-23 year old's they have about 200 young players whom amongst them 80% its local players, thats a huge success for England as a whole considering how succcessful these young lads have recently become in terms of trophies, thats a huge turning point for both City and England.
I'm not a City supporter, but it's so good for their fans (and greater football) to see a chairman being open and honest in an interview as they're ultimately the ones responsible for the on-pitch results. Admittedly it's a little easier to do that when you're winning, but you'd never catch Arsenal, United etc owners doing this. We need more CEOs and owners doing this!

You can tell he is a genuine football fan at heart. His breakdown of the games and emphasis on the important moments in some games is second to none. 🔥🔥🔥
That bit about 85% of players across all age groups being local really shows you what the CFG is all about. They aren't just in Manchester to win games and trophies but to also support the local community. Even a mancunian United fan would agree, though they hate Manchester City but their owners are actually helping the community a lot in the Manchester area.

I'm very intrigued to see how Haaland is intigrated, Kane seems a more natural fit to me but Haaland is the better investment and looks like he can terrify defenders with his pace and physicality. Alvarez looks like an unbelievable talent but it's a completely different kind of football here compared to Argentina.

It will be very interesting indeed, Kane would have been the easier choice but I'm sure Pep loves a challenge. If Alvarez comes in with the confidence he has at River Plate it shouldn't be a problem
@@blazecc8410 yeah Kane can act as a false 9 and a target man, whereas Haaland is a more fixed striker and can bring completely different attributes to the team, I think the style will have to change a bit to get the best out of him. Alvarez is a bit of a wildcard, most top South American players go to a smaller European team before signing for an elite one so we may take time to adapt to European football.
Age gap. Kane will be stepping into his thirties. Alverez and Haarlan are early twenties.
