Could you take the trigger assembly out the housing and use it as a 2 piece trigger versus a drop in trigger ? Or will it not work once it comes out the aluminum housing

I'm not sure. I'd contact Timney about that. Make sure you get it from the horses mouth.

Is this compatible with galil ace gen 2 ?

I'm afraid that Timney only lists this for the AK models, and while the Galil seems to have an AK style trigger I'm not sure if it will work. I would suggest contacting Timney direct for clarification on cross-model fitments.

IIRC theres a video with the interview with Timney where they said Galil was the only one it won't work with.
