  • In this video I show how to crochet a scarf that looks like as if it was knitted. The pattern is both simple and complicated. The patterns consists of singles crochets, which are made in a specific way.
    This scarf would be suitable for men, women, or children.
    You can make this scarf in any size you want, using yarn and hook of your choice.
    Materials I used:
    100% super wash wool, about 290 yards.
    Hooks sizes J (6 mm) and I (5.5 mm).
    Finished measurements: about 48 inches long, 5 inches wide.
    Buy this yarn: amzn.to/2Jvy7Ac
    For my scarf I started with 171 chains.
    For my sample I started with 21 chains.
    If you enjoy my video tutorials and would like to support my channel, please consider purchasing a crochet pattern form my Etsy or Ravelry shop:
    www.etsy.com/shop/olgapoltava

    Or you can buy me a cup of coffee or a skein of yarn: ko-fi.com/R6R6155UZ
    Thank you!

    Thank you very much for the pattern! I made bootcuffs with this pattern. I closed the chainlength with a slipstitch and treated the bootcuffs as if they ware rectangular: so each round closed with a slipstitch, chain one and turn.

    I just finished a hat for my tiny human working in the third stitch in continuous rounds and started a scarf doing the same thing you did in this tutorial and wasnt sure it was going to turn out right and now seeing that I was doing the same thing as the tutorial I'm super excited to see that the scarf is going to match the hat. Even though I dont really need the tutorial I'm so thankful to you for putting this out there so i now know that the image in my mind is going to work out! Thank you

      It's hard to say the exact amount of stitches because that will depend on the yarn and hook you use, as well as your crochet tension. In general, scarves are about 60 inches long, so you can start with the chain of that length.

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm afraid there isn't any way to extend it to make it look the same. What you can do is crocheting along the ends of rows, and that will give sort of like "cuffs" on both sides, but it will give a different look to the scarf overall.

      Depends on what size you want to make. I used 290 yards and the finished measurements were about 48 inches long and 5 inches wide.

    What type of stitch is this

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know if this stitch has a specific name, but it's basically a single crochet (inserting the hook in a nonstandard way).

      Have you tried watching it at a slower pace? TH-cam gives an option for watching videos at slower/faster speeds according to the user's needs.
