- The actor, who rose to fame playing Erlich Bachman on the HBO comedy, may have left the show unceremoniously after its fourth season, but that doesn’t mean he harbors any bad feelings for the hit show. TJ Miller tells us why he made Silicon Valley say goodbye to one of its most beloved characters.

I decided to leave the show after my very public bomb hoax because I felt artistically I needed to do something else.
Drugs + alcohol = not show up to work + do crazy things. That’s why they wrote him out

Bomb hoax didn’t happen until April 2018, Valley’s season 5 aired March 2018.
Because they told him to leave...?
They simply wrote him out of the series. He had become Bachman in his own personal way.
Because they fired him
He is trying so hard to justify to himself biggest mistake in his career... leaving one of the best sitcoms ever, so that he can make one of the worst movies of all time: ''The emoji movie'', with 3.3 imdb rating.

@@ilsa_xo Not going to comment on the rape thing, but the other stuff you mentioned can be summed up into one phrase: he’s a comic. People don’t seem to realize how messed up comedians at large are. Not saying he’s right for being a drunk asshole, but it shouldn’t be a shock to people.
EDIT: To be clear, I don’t really like the guy at all. But let’s not act shocked that a comedian is a drunken shithead.

This guy hems and haws way too much. He should tell the truth; he got cancelled by the same woke culture that he celebrates and worships.

He got fire for showing up late, drunk and disrespectful to the cast and crew. He ultimately held up the production of the show and got fired for not taking responsibility.
Didn't he get in trouble for threatening to bomb an Amtrak train? Yes...yes he did....
He accused another passenger of having a bomb. My guess is it was another altercation with a stranger. He's had a couple of those. I think his odd behavior is due to his brain surgery he had in 2010 or 2011. But he also has accusations of rape back in college. I was a big fan. Don't know whats going on with him now
