@@RosendracheYou are wrong. HOW BULGARIANS, SLAVIC AND THRACIANS MELTED INTO ONE PEOPLE? The Bulgarian state was formed by two main peoples: Bulgarians and Slavs. At first, the Bulgarians ruled the Slavs and differed in language, faith, clothing and customs. But over time, this difference began to disappear. The Slavs were much more than the Bulgarians and the Thracians. Bulgarians, Slavs and Thracians began to marry each other. Gradually, the Bulgarians and Thracians assimilated the language and customs of the Slavs. The Slavs also adopted many of the customs of the Bulgarians and Thracians. The merger did not happen quickly, but over 250 years. Finally, a new people was formed from Bulgarians, Slavs and Thracians. It called itself the Bulgarian people, spoke a Slavic language and had Slavic, ancient Bulgarian and Thracian manners and customs. Of this people we are now descendants. Although we call ourselves Bulgarians, in language and customs we are Slavs, as are the other Slavic peoples - Russians, Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Ukrainians, Slovenes, Belarusians, Croats and Serbs.
@@LaLuna-rd4ed The order is Thracians, Romans, Slavs, Byzantines, Bulgarians. The Bulgarians, being more organized and militarily stronger, ruled the Slavs, but the Slavs retained their autonomy. That is why the name of the country is Bulgaria and the country was ruled by a Bulgarian - Khan Asparukh, the Slavs recognized his supreme authority. The first known tribes on our lands were called Thracians. They did not live harmoniously, were divided into many tribes and constantly fought with each other. The Romans took advantage of the disagreements of the Thracians and conquered them. But the Romans did not rule our lands for a long time either. Various new peoples appeared - the barbarians. They obeyed no one, attacked our lands and killed many people. Gradually, barbarian peoples began to settle here. The barbarian attacks continued for more than 200 years. Finally, one tribe prevailed and settled all over our lands. These were our ancestors - the Slavs. The Slavs used to live far to the north, in a flat and fertile country. Some of them headed south and reached the Danube river and our lands. Then our homeland was ruled by the Byzantines, successors of the Romans. The capital of the Byzantines was the city of Constantinople, which the Slavs called Tsarigrad. The Slavs saw that the country was fertile and beautiful, and they began to settle. The Byzantines did not want such dangerous guests and therefore sent many troops against the Slavs. But nothing helped. For many years the Slavs settled until they filled the entire Balkan Peninsula. The peninsula became a Slavic country and the Slavic language was heard everywhere. The Greek language spoken by the Byzantines was only spoken along the sea and in some large cities. HOW WAS THE BULGARIAN STATE FORMED? The Slavs had one big drawback: they were divided into many tribes, which were constantly quarreling and feuding. The cunning Byzantines took advantage of this. They subjugated the Slavs and began to impose their language and customs on them. But another people prevented them - the Bulgarians. The Bulgarians were a civilized people. They built stone cities and had an invincible cavalry. They were so powerful and numerous that they created several states. One of them, called Volga Bulgaria, existed for 8 centuries on the territory of today's Russia. At first, the Bulgarians were divided into several small states and therefore were conquered by other peoples - the Turks and the Avars. The Bulgarian ruler Kubrat united the Bulgarians, rejected the foreign yoke and formed a strong state. He knew that collusion and agreement made his state strong, so he advised his five sons not to divide. However, Kubrat's sons soon forgot their father's good advice. After his death, they separated and scattered to different countries under the pressure of powerful enemies. A part of the Bulgarians with Kubrat's third son, Asparukh, turned out to be neighbors of Byzantium. The Byzantine emperor did not want such dangerous neighbors and went against them with a strong army. But Asparuch defeated him at the Battle of Ongle (680). Then the Bulgarians descended to the south and seized all the lands up to Stara Planina. The new Bulgarian border was recognized by Byzantium in 681. This date is considered the beginning of the Bulgarian state. Asparukh was its founder and first ruler. The Bulgarians called their ruler Khan, and the Slavs called him Grand Duke or just Prince. The capital was the city of Pliska. It is located near Shumen.
