Thank you so much for your crewel tutorials! I taught myself to crewel about 20 years ago and did not have access to proper stitching books, nor did floss tube even exist at that time. After watching your tutorials I see I got some things right and other things quite wrong, though IMHO my stitching generally looked pretty good. However with your instruction I think I can get my stitching to look *fabulous.* Floss tube is taking my fiber art to the next level and beyond, and I appreciate your contributions. :)
Hi Parvin, crewel work by definition uses linen twill. You can buy it from our store here - www.crewelwork.com/collections/printed-linens. Other embroidery techniques use other ground fabric but it's it's not linen, it's not crewel work!
