I thought Carter and Katie had real potential as a couple. They looked great together as Katie was looking quite fabulous at the time when she showed off her very toned physique to Carter, who is always in spectacular shape. For whatever reason, their storyline was simply abandoned as other storylines took priority, unfortunately. Anyhow, I think the pairing of Hope with Carter could work out great if the writers want it to, but it's a soap, so anything can happen..lol
I only watch this occasionally anymore. When they sent Thomas away I lost interest. Same as when the Bell'S sent Tucker McCall away on the Y&R. Two terrific actors sent away.

The problem with today's soap viewers - or even society as a whole - is that we lose interest very quickly.... I've watched it happen on Days (with new Gabi and Stefan and other recasts) and on the news.... Re: Hope and Thomas - is it an "out of sight/out of mind" or an "absence makes the heart grow fonder" scenario.... Another problem is with Carter in general.... they've done several storylines with him in the past - and then Bell dumps it and him until they need another "fill in" character/storyline. I guess we shall soon see -- or not... but I don't see the chemistry between them.... I was really hoping they'd have Hope going thru a DID storyline - where she's "a bad girl" at night - picking up strange men for hot sex - and then returning to "sweet Hope" at Forrester Creations during the day.... come on - give Anika something to sink her teeth into!

The problem with today's soap viewers - or even society as a whole - is that we lose interest very quickly.... I've watched it happen on Days (with new Gabi and Stefan and other recasts) and on the news.... Re: Hope and Thomas - is it an "out of sight/out of mind" or an "absence makes the heart grow fonder" scenario.... Another problem is with Carter in general.... they've done several storylines with him in the past - and then Bell dumps it and him until they need another "fill in" character/storyline. I guess we shall soon see -- or not... but I don't see the chemistry between them.... I was really hoping they'd have Hope going thru a DID storyline - where she's "a bad girl" at night - picking up strange men for hot sex - and then returning to "sweet Hope" at Forrester Creations during the day.... come on - give Anika something to sink her teeth into!

hope and brooke have the same problem growing up without a father who was really there for them because they were too busy hanging other women out for criminal activities we have made strong independent women so dependent on a man to constantly be in love and attention. such a shame
I like Carter but I think Hope age is a big difference according to the timeline of this show. Anywho Carter needs Zoe back in his life and they can slowly get back a real relationship. Quinn would be too much of a distraction.😮

TBH, while I think Thomas would be jealous of Hope & Carter, but I think Thomas woulf be more pissed that Hope accepts Carter's suggestion to add sensuality to HFTF when he suggested the same thing months before. That could be the major talking point for Thomas- Hope deferring to other people's opinions over Thomas's opinions & feelings. Frankly, there's some truth to that since Thope fans have known that Hope loved Thomas & that ILY was on the tip of her tongue but most od her energy waa spent prepping Brooke for the possibility of Thope as a permanent thing insteas of letting Thomaa know that's where she was heading.
And no, sleeping w/Carter isn't the solution to the Finn fantasies. She already stopped fantasizing abt him- the montage consisted of the massage, a hug and reassurance that he would be there for her.
