ভারতবর্ষে পাঞ্জাব প্রদেশের গুরুদাসপুর জেলার কাদিয়ান গ্রামে হযরত মির্যা গোলাম আহ্মদ আলায়হেস সাল্লাম আল্লাহ্তাআলার আদেশে ইমাম মাহ্দী ও প্রতিশ্রুত মসীহ্ হওয়ার দাবী করেন। বিশেষ করে সমস্ত মুসলিম উম্মতকে এবং সাধারণভাবে সারা মানব মন্ডলীকে একই কলেমা,“লা ইলাহা ইল্লালাহু মুহাম্মাদুর রসুলুল্লাহ” এর পতাকাতলে সমবেত করার লক্ষ্যে তিনি ১৮৮৯ সনে এ জামাতের প্রবর্তন করেন ঐশী নির্দেশনায়। হযরত মুহাম্মদ মুস্তফা আহ্মদ মুজতাবা সাল্লাল্লাহু আলায়হে ওয়া সাল্লামের জামালী অর্থাৎ সৌন্দর্য বিকাশক ‘আহ্মদ’ নাম অনুযায়ী ১৯০১ সনে তিনি (আঃ), এর নাম রাখেন ‘মুসলিম ফিরকা আহ্মদীয়া’। বিরুদ্ধবাদীরা এর অন্যান্য নাম দেয়। কেউ কেউ আপত্তি করে থাকেন যে, হযরত মির্যা গোলাম আহ্মদ (আঃ) এর নামানুযায়ী এ জামাতের নাম আহ্মদীয়া জামা'ত রাখা হয়েছে। এটা ঠিক নয়। শেষ যুগে হেদায়াত প্রাপ্ত জামাতের নাম যে আহ্মদীয়া জামা'ত হবে তা ইসলামের অনেক বুযুর্গ ঐশী ইঙ্গিতে তাদের পুস্তকে লিখে গেছেন। (যেমন হযরত মুজাদ্দিদ আলফে সানী (রহঃ) লিখিত মাবদা ওয়া মা’আদ পুস্তক ৫৮ পৃষ্ঠা এবং হযরত মুল্লা আলী আল্ কারী (রহঃ) লিখিত মেশ্কাতের শরাহ্ মিরকাত প্রথম খন্ড, ২৪৬ পৃষ্ঠা)। নবী করীম (সাঃ) এর বক্তব্য ‘ওয়া হিয়াল জামা'ত’ অনুযায়ী তা হবে একটি জামা'ত। আহ্মদী জামা'তই প্রকৃত পক্ষে সেই জামা'ত, আহ্মাদীয়াত ই সেই মহান আধ্যাত্মিক বিপ্লব। আহ্মদীয়া জামাতের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সারা জীবন আরবী, ঊর্দূ ও ফার্সী ভাষায় ইসলাম ও হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ)- এর সত্যতা ও মাহাত্ম্য প্রভৃতি বিষয়ে বহু পুস্তক-পুস্তিকা লিখে সারা বিশ্বে এ আধ্যাত্মিক বিপ্লবের সূচনা করে গেছেন। ১৯০৮ সনে তাঁর (আঃ) ইন্তেকালের পরে প্রতিশ্রুত ঐশী খিলাফত প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।

The Non Ahmadi Muslims themselves await the latter day messiah and are aware of his need and cannot deny it, as it was foretold by our Master Muhammad(saw). If one was to say that Holy Prophet(saw) was chronologically the last prophet, what would that person do about the prophecies of the latter day prophet who was foretold by the Holy Prophet(saw) himself? In reality, the Holy Prophet(saw) was the last law bearing prophet and this is what he (saw) claimed. He (saw) told us to accept the latter day prophet even if we have to crawl on mountains of ice to get to him. A prophet is sent when the people are misguided and the world is full of corruption. How can we claim that the need of prophethood exists but the door of prophethood is forever closed? Allah has made it clear that when the people become evil and misguided, a prophet is sent for their reformation. Allah states in the Qur’an: “And most of the ancient peoples had erred before them, And We sent Warners among them.” (Chapter 37 Verses 72-73) The Holy Prophet Muhammad(Saw) was the last prophet but only in the sense of a law bearing prophet. The claim of the Holy Prophet(saw) himself was that he was the last prophet and that prophets can come under him, and one prophet who was guaranteed was the latter day messiah. Allah has further given us more signs of when a prophet would be needed. Allah states in the Qur’an: And hold fast, all together, by the rope of Allah and be not divided; and remember the favour of Allah which He bestowed upon you when you were enemies and He united your hearts in love, so that by His grace you became asbrothers; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah explain to you His commandments that you may be guided.(Chapter 3 verse 104) Allah has Told us to be together and not be divided, but when we look at the ummah it is clearly divided. There is only one jamaah which is united under one khalifa as prophesied and that jamaah is Ahmadiyyat. The Holy Prophet (saw) stated: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي بُسْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلاَنِيَّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنَ الْيَمَانِ، يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْخَيْرِ، وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ، مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُدْرِكَنِي فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَشَرٍّ فَجَاءَنَا اللَّهُ بِهَذَا الْخَيْرِ، فَهَلْ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْخَيْرِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَالَ ” نَعَمْ ”. قُلْتُ وَهَلْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الشَّرِّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ قَالَ ” نَعَمْ، وَفِيهِ دَخَنٌ ”. قُلْتُ وَمَا دَخَنُهُ قَالَ ” قَوْمٌ يَهْدُونَ بِغَيْرِ هَدْىٍ، تَعْرِفُ مِنْهُمْ وَتُنْكِرُ ”. قُلْتُ فَهَلْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْخَيْرِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَالَ ” نَعَمْ، دُعَاةٌ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، مَنْ أَجَابَهُمْ إِلَيْهَا قَذَفُوهُ فِيهَا ”. قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صِفْهُمْ لَنَا. قَالَ ” هُمْ مِنْ جِلْدَتِنَا، وَيَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِنَا ”. قُلْتُ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي إِنْ أَدْرَكَنِي ذَلِكَ قَالَ ” تَلْزَمُ جَمَاعَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَإِمَامَهُمْ ”. قُلْتُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ جَمَاعَةٌ وَلاَ إِمَامٌ قَالَ ” فَاعْتَزِلْ تِلْكَ الْفِرَقَ كُلَّهَا، وَلَوْ أَنْ تَعَضَّ بِأَصْلِ شَجَرَةٍ، حَتَّى يُدْرِكَكَ الْمَوْتُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ”. Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman: The people used to ask Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by them. So I said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! We were living in ignorance and in an (extremely) worst atmosphere, then Allah brought to us this good (i.e., Islam); will there be any evil after this good?” He said, “Yes.” I said, ‘Will there be any good after that evil?” He replied, “Yes, but it will be tainted (not pure.)” I asked, “What will be its taint?” He replied, “(There will be) some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others.” I asked, “Will there be any evil after that good?” He replied, “Yes, (there will be) some people calling at the gates of the (Hell) Fire, and whoever will respond to their call, will be thrown by them into the (Hell) Fire.” I said, “O Allah s Apostle! Will you describe them to us?” He said, “They will be from our own people and will speak our language.” I said, “What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life?” He said, “Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam (ruler).” I said, “If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam (ruler)?” He said, “Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state.”(Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 9, Book 88, Hadith #206) This hadith itself shows that a life without an imam and unity is a useless life. This is the sad life the Muslims are living because of their rejection of the latter day prophet whom the prophet(saw) told us to accept. Allah also states: And be not like those who became divided and who disagreed among themselves after clear proofs had come to them. And it is they for whom there shall be a great punishment,(Chapter 3 Verse 106)
This is an incomplete story. Just compare the situation of Ahmadiyas in Pakistan with that of India. In Pakistan, Ahmadiyas are considered apostles and considered non-Muslims. They are targeted by jihadist and even Pakistan SC does not give them guarantee of life. So may Ahmadiyas have been killed and bombed , while praying . Even they are not allowed to offer namaz. Their places of worship are not called mosques and live perpetual fear of murder and mayhem. This oppressed sect is definitely more comfortable and safer in India rather than Pakistan or , for that matter, any other Muslim country.

The next sign of the Messiah of the Latter days which will be discussed is the killing of the swine. This is another metaphorical sign of the Messiah, and does not literally mean that the messiah would come to kill pigs. If 100 pigs are killed on one side of the world, thousands would be given birth on the other. No true Muslim can believe that the task of a prophet is to come and run around like a hunter to kill pigs, rather the task of a prophet is to guide the people towards Allah. How will the killing of pigs guide anyone to the truth? If one takes this to be literal, they should remember that such a killing would never end. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) states: “Then, converting his functions from their metaphorical description into physical activities, they allege that he will break crosses and slaughter swine. They do not explain what he will gain by breaking crosses. Even if he broke one or two million crosses, would the Christians, who are devoted to the worship of the cross, not make new ones in place of the broken ones? If the slaughtering of swine is also to be taken literally, will the principal occupation of the Messiah be that of hunting swine with a pack of dogs? If that is so, it will be a great day for Sikhs and some nomadic tribes like the Chamars, Sansis, Gondelas, etc., who are fond of hunting swine. But this activity of his will not in any way benefit the Christians, who are already very skilful in hunting swine. There are up to a thousand shops in London that sell the flesh of swine, and up to twenty-five thousand pigs are daily sent to the outlying areas of the city. The question is: is it worthy of a Prophet who has appeared for the reform of mankind to waste his time hunting pig, a disgusting animal, while even touching the pig is a grave sin according to Torah. A question also arises that-while hunting is a hobby of the idle-if the Messiah is still to be so fond of hunting, is there any dearth of such good animals as deer, caribou, rabbits, etc., that he should soil his hands with the blood of such a foul animal?” (Izala-e-Auham, Ruhani Khazain, Volume 3, Pages 121-125)

ভারতবর্ষে পাঞ্জাব প্রদেশের গুরুদাসপুর জেলার কাদিয়ান গ্রামে হযরত মির্যা গোলাম আহ্মদ আলায়হেস সাল্লাম আল্লাহ্তাআলার আদেশে ইমাম মাহ্দী ও প্রতিশ্রুত মসীহ্ হওয়ার দাবী করেন। বিশেষ করে সমস্ত মুসলিম উম্মতকে এবং সাধারণভাবে সারা মানব মন্ডলীকে একই কলেমা,“লা ইলাহা ইল্লালাহু মুহাম্মাদুর রসুলুল্লাহ” এর পতাকাতলে সমবেত করার লক্ষ্যে তিনি ১৮৮৯ সনে এ জামাতের প্রবর্তন করেন ঐশী নির্দেশনায়। হযরত মুহাম্মদ মুস্তফা আহ্মদ মুজতাবা সাল্লাল্লাহু আলায়হে ওয়া সাল্লামের জামালী অর্থাৎ সৌন্দর্য বিকাশক ‘আহ্মদ’ নাম অনুযায়ী ১৯০১ সনে তিনি (আঃ), এর নাম রাখেন ‘মুসলিম ফিরকা আহ্মদীয়া’। বিরুদ্ধবাদীরা এর অন্যান্য নাম দেয়। কেউ কেউ আপত্তি করে থাকেন যে, হযরত মির্যা গোলাম আহ্মদ (আঃ) এর নামানুযায়ী এ জামাতের নাম আহ্মদীয়া জামা'ত রাখা হয়েছে। এটা ঠিক নয়। শেষ যুগে হেদায়াত প্রাপ্ত জামাতের নাম যে আহ্মদীয়া জামা'ত হবে তা ইসলামের অনেক বুযুর্গ ঐশী ইঙ্গিতে তাদের পুস্তকে লিখে গেছেন। (যেমন হযরত মুজাদ্দিদ আলফে সানী (রহঃ) লিখিত মাবদা ওয়া মা’আদ পুস্তক ৫৮ পৃষ্ঠা এবং হযরত মুল্লা আলী আল্ কারী (রহঃ) লিখিত মেশ্কাতের শরাহ্ মিরকাত প্রথম খন্ড, ২৪৬ পৃষ্ঠা)। নবী করীম (সাঃ) এর বক্তব্য ‘ওয়া হিয়াল জামা'ত’ অনুযায়ী তা হবে একটি জামা'ত। আহ্মদী জামা'তই প্রকৃত পক্ষে সেই জামা'ত, আহ্মাদীয়াত ই সেই মহান আধ্যাত্মিক বিপ্লব। আহ্মদীয়া জামাতের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সারা জীবন আরবী, ঊর্দূ ও ফার্সী ভাষায় ইসলাম ও হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ)- এর সত্যতা ও মাহাত্ম্য প্রভৃতি বিষয়ে বহু পুস্তক-পুস্তিকা লিখে সারা বিশ্বে এ আধ্যাত্মিক বিপ্লবের সূচনা করে গেছেন। ১৯০৮ সনে তাঁর (আঃ) ইন্তেকালের পরে প্রতিশ্রুত ঐশী খিলাফত প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।

The Non Ahmadi Muslims themselves await the latter day messiah and are aware of his need and cannot deny it, as it was foretold by our Master Muhammad(saw). If one was to say that Holy Prophet(saw) was chronologically the last prophet, what would that person do about the prophecies of the latter day prophet who was foretold by the Holy Prophet(saw) himself? In reality, the Holy Prophet(saw) was the last law bearing prophet and this is what he (saw) claimed. He (saw) told us to accept the latter day prophet even if we have to crawl on mountains of ice to get to him. A prophet is sent when the people are misguided and the world is full of corruption. How can we claim that the need of prophethood exists but the door of prophethood is forever closed?
Allah has made it clear that when the people become evil and misguided, a prophet is sent for their reformation. Allah states in the Qur’an:
“And most of the ancient peoples had erred before them, And We sent Warners among them.” (Chapter 37 Verses 72-73)
The Holy Prophet Muhammad(Saw) was the last prophet but only in the sense of a law bearing prophet. The claim of the Holy Prophet(saw) himself was that he was the last prophet and that prophets can come under him, and one prophet who was guaranteed was the latter day messiah.
Allah has further given us more signs of when a prophet would be needed. Allah states in the Qur’an:
And hold fast, all together, by the rope of Allah and be not divided; and remember the favour of Allah which He bestowed upon you when you were enemies and He united your hearts in love, so that by His grace you became asbrothers; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah explain to you His commandments that you may be guided.(Chapter 3 verse 104)
Allah has Told us to be together and not be divided, but when we look at the ummah it is clearly divided. There is only one jamaah which is united under one khalifa as prophesied and that jamaah is Ahmadiyyat. The Holy Prophet (saw) stated:
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي بُسْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلاَنِيَّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنَ الْيَمَانِ، يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْخَيْرِ، وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ، مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُدْرِكَنِي فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَشَرٍّ فَجَاءَنَا اللَّهُ بِهَذَا الْخَيْرِ، فَهَلْ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْخَيْرِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَالَ ” نَعَمْ ”. قُلْتُ وَهَلْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الشَّرِّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ قَالَ ” نَعَمْ، وَفِيهِ دَخَنٌ ”. قُلْتُ وَمَا دَخَنُهُ قَالَ ” قَوْمٌ يَهْدُونَ بِغَيْرِ هَدْىٍ، تَعْرِفُ مِنْهُمْ وَتُنْكِرُ ”. قُلْتُ فَهَلْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْخَيْرِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَالَ ” نَعَمْ، دُعَاةٌ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، مَنْ أَجَابَهُمْ إِلَيْهَا قَذَفُوهُ فِيهَا ”. قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صِفْهُمْ لَنَا. قَالَ ” هُمْ مِنْ جِلْدَتِنَا، وَيَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِنَا ”. قُلْتُ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي إِنْ أَدْرَكَنِي ذَلِكَ قَالَ ” تَلْزَمُ جَمَاعَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَإِمَامَهُمْ ”. قُلْتُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ جَمَاعَةٌ وَلاَ إِمَامٌ قَالَ ” فَاعْتَزِلْ تِلْكَ الْفِرَقَ كُلَّهَا، وَلَوْ أَنْ تَعَضَّ بِأَصْلِ شَجَرَةٍ، حَتَّى يُدْرِكَكَ الْمَوْتُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ”.
Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman: The people used to ask Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by them. So I said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! We were living in ignorance and in an (extremely) worst atmosphere, then Allah brought to us this good (i.e., Islam); will there be any evil after this good?” He said, “Yes.” I said, ‘Will there be any good after that evil?” He replied, “Yes, but it will be tainted (not pure.)” I asked, “What will be its taint?” He replied, “(There will be) some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others.” I asked, “Will there be any evil after that good?” He replied, “Yes, (there will be) some people calling at the gates of the (Hell) Fire, and whoever will respond to their call, will be thrown by them into the (Hell) Fire.” I said, “O Allah s Apostle! Will you describe them to us?” He said, “They will be from our own people and will speak our language.” I said, “What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life?” He said, “Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam (ruler).” I said, “If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam (ruler)?” He said, “Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state.”(Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 9, Book 88, Hadith #206)
This hadith itself shows that a life without an imam and unity is a useless life. This is the sad life the Muslims are living because of their rejection of the latter day prophet whom the prophet(saw) told us to accept. Allah also states:
And be not like those who became divided and who disagreed among themselves after clear proofs had come to them. And it is they for whom there shall be a great punishment,(Chapter 3 Verse 106)

This is an incomplete story. Just compare the situation of Ahmadiyas in Pakistan with that of India. In Pakistan, Ahmadiyas are considered apostles and considered non-Muslims. They are targeted by jihadist and even Pakistan SC does not give them guarantee of life. So may Ahmadiyas have been killed and bombed , while praying . Even they are not allowed to offer namaz. Their places of worship are not called mosques and live perpetual fear of murder and mayhem. This oppressed sect is definitely more comfortable and safer in India rather than Pakistan or , for that matter, any other Muslim country.

The next sign of the Messiah of the Latter days which will be discussed is the killing of the swine. This is another metaphorical sign of the Messiah, and does not literally mean that the messiah would come to kill pigs. If 100 pigs are killed on one side of the world, thousands would be given birth on the other. No true Muslim can believe that the task of a prophet is to come and run around like a hunter to kill pigs, rather the task of a prophet is to guide the people towards Allah. How will the killing of pigs guide anyone to the truth? If one takes this to be literal, they should remember that such a killing would never end.
Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) states:
“Then, converting his functions from their metaphorical description into physical activities, they allege that he will break crosses and slaughter swine. They do not explain what he will gain by breaking crosses. Even if he broke one or two million crosses, would the Christians, who are devoted to the worship of the cross, not make new ones in place of the broken ones? If the slaughtering of swine is also to be taken literally, will the principal occupation of the Messiah be that of hunting swine with a pack of dogs? If that is so, it will be a great day for Sikhs and some nomadic tribes like the Chamars, Sansis, Gondelas, etc., who are fond of hunting swine. But this activity of his will not in any way benefit the Christians, who are already very skilful in hunting swine. There are up to a thousand shops in London that sell the flesh of swine, and up to twenty-five thousand pigs are daily sent to the outlying areas of the city. The question is: is it worthy of a Prophet who has appeared for the reform of mankind to waste his time hunting pig, a disgusting animal, while even touching the pig is a grave sin according to Torah. A question also arises that-while hunting is a hobby of the idle-if the Messiah is still to be so fond of hunting, is there any dearth of such good animals as deer, caribou, rabbits, etc., that he should soil his hands with the blood of such a foul animal?” (Izala-e-Auham, Ruhani Khazain, Volume 3, Pages 121-125)
