      I believe they were referring to the fact jason no longer squats due to a medical condition. The Rock doesn't squat due to an old knee injury...so neither squats.

    Kinda goes back to something Mark Bell has said about PED use in wrestling, "If you were on less than three things, you were natural."

    Also, when he was 18 and 19, he was playing for one of the top college football programs in the nation. Are you trying to tell me there weren't many people in that locker room who not only weren't using gear but also didn't extensive knowledge on how to use it?

    One of your "favorite actors of all time". Seriously? in Hollywood, The Rock is extremely typecasted. I actually like the series "Ballers" because it shows him in a different light. I will give him credit for that. He absolutley butchered his character in Hercules. If you really want to see good acting, go watch The Revenant or Forrest Gump. As far as him claiming natural, this is old news. He's actually said this in previous interviews years ago. I mean, he blew the F up for "Pain and Gain", so naturally, the speculations came along as well.

    • @talder123
      @talder123 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally don't think the Rock is a good actor and neither is John Cena and out of everyone in the WWE I respect them the most for their physiques and work ethic and just being inspirational and making it to the top. I just wouldn't go see them in movies besides Fast and Furious and I think Vin Diesel is a better actor in the Fast and Furious series than the Rock and I think that movie series is overhyped but I will still watch. Even Terry Crews and a few semi jacked guys with more movie experience and just better acting skills do better in movies than the Rock. I barely watch movies nowadays anyway so what do I know

      filip bäcklin the amount helps. Taking some trt and hitting levels at 800 is one thing. Taking test and 4 other roids is another. Why doesnt every steroid user look like cutler or arnold? Genetics,amount of useage, genetics, and love for the sport. Jason enjoys analyzing things as much as arnold did lifting. If Jason wanted to he could make more money elsewhere but he loves this. Unfortunately the truth is worth big bucks and lies are.

    I've heard George Farah (The rock's trainer) say in a press conference in arabic at Oxygen gym, in kuwait, that the rock is on "a small dose of testosterone prescribed by his doctor" and was kind of eluding to the fact that he does not use much compared to many other "athletes". So that's that. Also the rock has a lot to lose, especially because society is filled with the "you gotta believe" types. Same ones who listen to shit like his "8000 calories a day" diet to bulk up before shooting Pain and Gain

    The article mentions, in the annoying passive tense, that the subject of steroids came up. How did it come up, who brought it up? Surely not the Rock. Obviously the interviewer brought it up. Like you said, why would he even bother answering? In a print interview, everything is edited and rewritten before publishing. So he could have very easily declined to answer that, and could have asked the interviewer not to mentioned that he declined to answer the question. I think the reason why he answered was ego. He thought he could pull a fast one with a publication whose readership would not be familiar with steroids, and weight training.

  • @SKarea51
    @SKarea51 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Questions:
    A) Was he a smartass or he just had to give some answer on the obligatory steroids question? If the second one, I understand he had to say it
    B) Not only steroid user and their workout protocol can be dangerous. Working out is very individual, depends on your genetics and anybody without cristical mind should stay away from it to avoid injuries. Replicating a protocol of a genetically gifted, or of somebody of 10+ years experience is equally if not more dangerous.

    I do love when someone says who cares if they take steroids they still had to work hard. Its a no brainer that they worked hard they are called an "enhanced athlete" for a reason. Why else would these guys be kicked off teams or get fines when they are caught using PED's. They are using steroids as an unfair advantage. The steroids give you that edge and you will want to train hard because of them. Not to mention your recovery cycle is lessened. People dont really use their brains these days.

    The Rock turns 47 this year. Seeing him in that kind of shape is inspiring. He got good genetics from his father and grandfather.
    In his memoir, he did admit to briefly experimenting with PED's while in high school or some other period of his football career.
    I don't know, and I don't judge. Many male athletes have faced that decision. There's an ungodly pressure to perform. Who am I to say I wouldn't succumb to that pressure?

      That is the problem... you don't know or not. People have been misled so much and are so ignorant now on the topic that people who clearly use pretty heavy doses, and cannot possibly be where they are on very conservative amounts, actually have people who are unsure if they use or not.

      You may have missed the point. No one is making any judgement on The Rock. Whether he uses or not, from a moral stand point it doesnt matter - there is no moral judgement. Its just plain obvious, for all the reasons Jason outlined in the video, that he does use. And theres nothing wrong with that.
      Your response suggests that you are Rock fan, and have bought in to the idea that steroids are bad. So if The Rock uses, then he must be bad, and you find this personally offensive.
      I mean no disrespect, but you need to grow up and realise that Hollywood is all about illusion and all about money.
      And theres nothing wrong with steroid use. This isnt the Olympics.

      You're an absolute ignoramus if you believe The Rock is natural. The steroid transformation was evident when he wrestled in the WWE. He's even larger now and older. It's because of ignorant people like you, these suppliment companies take advantage of people by convincing them that their product will make you as large as the steroid user promoting it.

    I'm chiming in a year late. Just wanted to put my humble 2 cents in. The Rock is half Black and half Somoan. Those are 2 naturally muscular and athletic ethnic backgrounds. I had a Devil Dog in my platoon that was a walking action figure. He was half Black and half Somoan as well. 6'4 255 of shredded shit brick house. Not EVERYONE that's big with a nice physique is on gear. Get over it people.

    According to the haters, everybody who looks like they lift is on steroids. The Rock is OBVIOUSLY natty. ANYBODY can look like the Rock if they eat enough protein and take bio gro.

    WITH FULL RESPECT TO YOU, I HAVE SEEN HOW HARD THE ROCK WORKS IN THE GYM, AND HIS LIFTING IS PRETTY MUCH PURELY BODYBUILDING, AND YOU CAN'T JUDGE HIM AGAINST THE RESULTS OF PURELY POWERLIFTING BECAUSE THEY HAVE DIFFERENT END GOALS, EACH HONORABLE IN THEIR OWN RIGHT, BUT BODYBUILDING CAN BE MORE VISUAL, AND POWERLIFTING VISE VERSA, REMEMBER HE HAS ACCESS TO THE BEST NUTRITION, AND THE BEST OF EVERYTHING ELSE, AND HIS PHYSIQUE IS HIS CARREER!!!! THANKS ZAKK.........
