Ustad Nouman, may Allah bless you for making the Quran so easy to understand. All those years of struggle you went through now pays off as millions of Muslims across the globe benefit from your lessons.
Masha Allah, Tabarakallah. Jazakallahu Khairan ustadz Nouman. What a powerful insight. Especially on addressing the Kaafirun in the middle of the 3 verses. It's really give me goosebumps. May Allah protects you and keep educating us on this beautiful ad deen.
Salam Quran weekly Im really enjoying this videos Im learning so much and gaining a better understanding of the the Quran, Im currently in my 9th month of pregnancy and due any day now, at the moment not fasting because of my health and the babies but I have felt so sad not being able to and theses videos have helped me come closer to the Quran, May Allah bless and reward your efforts.
I really love your lectures they are so useful the only thing I would say is that sometimes the anecdotes and examples can stray from understanding the message...
Allah swt honoured divorced and widowed women by making them Mothers of Believers. The wives of the Prophet (saw) were all widows or divorced women except for Aishah. But our society has the opposite attitude towards them. Allah grants them nobility and we put shame on these people and degrade them. May Allah forgives us...
Thank you so much 🥰 I was really confused with this surah because the translation sometimes doesn't makes justice to the Arab recitation explained like this
Surah Tehreem Stories Beginning O the prophet address many times Permissible and not consuming it it's not a sin To take an aoth which u won't ever do it again Allah said prophet to have harmony home because he has fight fir the cause of Allah Stories in the quran is addressed to both men and women Sai to those who believe In other surah those who disbelieve Repent before Allah If u believe Allah u will never be humiliated
10:35 Allah will authorize the Prophet to divorce all off the wives of the Prophet? The surah is talking about two wives. If they don’t repent, why should all other wives be punished as well? 🤔
Salam ‘Alaykum warahmat-Allah. I am very confused about something. We say that Aisha was the best woman Allah ever created. But then in this Surah verse 5 Allah is saying that He would prefer to substitute her with a better wife.

asalam aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu! I noticed that in this Surah Allah Subhana wa ta Ala refers to Maryam Alayhi salam as being amongst the Qaniteen but the word is also used in surah Hike to describe Ibraheem Alayhi salam. does it have two meanings? what does it mean in each context ? JazakhAllah khair
The word Qaniteen is not in surah Hijr. قانت means devoutly and humbly obedient to Allah (SWT). In surah Hijr the word قانط ( to despair) is used not as a description of Prophet Ibrahim but as a command to not despair from the mercy of Allah (SWT). It doesn't have 2 different meanings. It's actually 2 completely different words.
Sure, the situation concerns Muhammad's obsession with his new extremely beautiful Egyptian s-x slave that he had received as a gift, Maria the Copt, and how Muhammad was caught bonking her in Hafsa's own bed on her day to be with Muhammad. Hafsa was incredibly hurt and angered, so Muhammad promised her to not have Maria again, but also made her promise to not tell the other wives what had happened. However, Aisha had overheard or got informed of the quarrel, so the story got out, and Muhammad, already off-balance and sulking, became furious. That's why he revealed this surah, and his first priority was to break his oath to Hafsa and start having Maria again, so that became verse one.
Shk. Does "thooboo" signify that believers should collectively ask Dua of forgiveness?.. a preacher in our masjid emphasised group invokation citing this word "Thooboo ilallah".. appreciate if you may clarify this point.. Barakallahu feek.

The tafsir brought up here is the metaphorical version concerning honey. A number of other tafsirs present the real version, which concerns Muhammad's obsession with his new extremely beautiful Egyptian s-x slave that he had received as a gift, Maria the Copt, and how Muhammad was caught bonking her in Hafsa's own bed on her day to be with Muhammad. Hafsa was incredibly hurt and angered, so Muhammad promised her to not have Maria again, but also made her promise to not tell the other wives what had happened. That's why he revealed this surah, and his first priority was to break his oath to Hafsa and start having Maria again, so that became verse one. Verse 3, where Muhammad refers to the broken promise to not tell the other wives of Muhammad's reprehensible behavior, is so silly. Muhammad apparently had to protect whoever informed him (he couldn't tell Hafsa that e.g. Aisha had told on her), so he had to claim Allah informed him. Then, as for the incredibly immature wife replacement verse, 66:5, it was according to sahih hadiths recommended by the horrible misogynistic brute Umar, and apparently Muhammad was so off-balance that he took his advice (just as he did concerning the veiling of women). The rest of the surah, threatening the wives with gruesome eternal torture in the afterlife, should be recognized as even more disproportional and unjust.
How do u know?? This honey is authentic hadith what u are saying is weak hadith and how can u be so sure that this is what happened back then were u there?? Allah knows best,,and i am sure our beloved prophet did no harm and thats why Allah swt defended him
@@yoursenpai4877 no, the hadith I'm mentioned is also considered authentic. It's quite obvious that the honey version is metaphorical. It makes no sense that this surah would be created over honey, but the Mary the Copt version makes perfect sense. Classical scholars agree, and e.g. Yasir Qadhi: th-cam.com/video/DpQu6eCqObA/w-d-xo.html Why does the prophet need someone defending him against his wives? Was he not man enough to come to terms with his wives?
Your talks have a lot of potential, however, you need to be more concise. It took you more than 5 minutes to get to the point first point. You talked about everything under the sun. You just need to give 1 example and get to the main reason for the surah. I don't want to hear your personal editorial. Omar Suleiman does a great job of getting straight to the point without editorializing or getting off track.
This branch of knowledge is called Nazm in the Quran and is very unique. And prominent Scholors have not mentioned much regarding this. When we have choice we should stick to it rather than rebuking. ( Nauman Ali Khan is the only person who actually implemented the methadology of Hammidudin Farahi (may Allah grant him Firdous) and linked the themes in each chapter. Yes there are other great tafsirs out there but this is exactly what we are seeking)

Ghalib Ahmed she wasnt the best woman ever created...thats ridiculous and contradicts the Quran so cannot be tfue
I agree because she is an important woman created, maybe no one is perfect but she's special.
The wife-replacement verse was recommended by Umar, and Muhammad was so off-balance at that time so he took his advice:

The verse was recommended by Umar, see Musnad Ahmad 157. Muhammad was so off-balance that he took that advice.
