I think I've heard the name W.A.S.P. before but I had never heard this song. When I saw Napalm Records I knew it was going to be either hard rock or metal, great message and instrumentals. God bless and Happy Easter!

I'm not sure if band leader Blackie Lawless is still a Christian, but he decided to release 2 albums with some Christian themes: Babylon (2009) and Golgotha (2015). WASP is one of the most sleaziest bands from the 80s. Regardless, this is a very powerful song!

Blackie used to tell people the 'acronymn' for the band meant We Aint Sure Pal... there have been a LOT of suggestions...but no one really knows. Personally, considering Blackie's 'marketing' mind...he likely meant nothing by the abbreviations other than to generate talk about what other people THOUGHT it stood for. Blackie grew up in a Fundamentalist Baptist upbringing and as a youth was very active in his church. He later became drawn to the occult through early stages of his music career, but has since returned to the church. There are many of his earlier songs he will no longer play. Heaven is Hung in Black is fantastic...much of the album Headless Children is excellent...Babylon is Burning...

W.A.S.P. was originally a joke for people to guess what it meant, followed by "We Are Sexual Perverts". Blackie Lawless, the lead singer (and only remaining original band member), has a very interesting story from falling into apostasy and the occult back to Jesus over the last few years is inspirational

Awesome reaction. The song is based on the thief that was being crucified with Jesus and telling Him to remember him when He enters his Kingdom. Another good one is a band called Golden Resurrection and the song Identity in Christ. It features ex-Sabaton guitarist Tommy Johansson.
