I just wanna see you play dude :D
ZeRo you don’t have to worry about not being good enough. You have already proved being the best person in the world once and you certainly don’t have to do it again. I do love it when you do torments. For me even if you get last place it is always fun to see you play a game that you love. If you think torments are too stressful we understand. As long as you keep having fun and making great content! I personally hope that tournaments will stay in your schedule, but if not that is completely fine. Have fun! :D
Zero, I love what you represent in the Smash Bros community. You show that if you work hard you can achieve anything (even being the best player in the world), but also that you don't have to kill yourself trying to win every tournament to have fun with this game. I have thoroughly enjoyed all your content here and watching your journey since Smash 4 (when I got into watching Smash competitive play). I would love to see you play in more tournaments in the future if you feel like you'll have fun, because even if you don't win I have a lot of fun watching you play. A lot of your viewers can't even get into a high level tournament like that. So to see that through your eyes is a treat for me and I'm sure a lot of people here agree. Keep up the good work. You're a great guy, very relatable, and honestly I feel like most of us viewers just like hanging out with you.
Yo Zero, just wanted to let you know that beyond any results it is very fun watching you play in tournaments and cheering for you. I understand the reasons why you don't want to compete though know that it is fun watching you do so regardless. You don't have to have the level of commitment and the results of a top player, you've already contributed more to the competitive smash scene than most players could even dream of. You will always deserve the highest respect as a player regardless of the results in any subsequent match or tournament.
I'll be sorry to see this series of videos end. While winning is cool since you get farther and there's more matchups to watch, what I've really gotten out of all of these is the commentary you're providing of what you're thinking, what you're going for, and what you think your opponent is most likely to do. I really don't see anyone else providing such a clear, detailed glimpse of what a smash pro mindset is thinking right as it's happening and it's fantastic! You've still got the instincts and knowledge and it's really cool to watch you sharing that! It's something that only really comes out when you're intensely focusing on beating a formidable opponent. It makes sense though that without an absurd amount of practice and effort there's no reasonable way to compete with the players who are devoting their everything into the game. I hope that even if you aren't going to continue popping into tourneys here and there, you still have some content providing that killer insight into your mindset as you play somewhat serious matches.
The man is basically a legend, he cant show up in competition just for fun, he has to try his best and its obviously draining his energy now that he dont enjoy it anymore. On top of that, he's streaming and commentating while he play, adding to the stress. I rather have a youtuber that enjoy giving us content and making it, rather than making content out of stress because his community expect him to be good on Wi-Fi. I respect you ZeRo and please do stuff that you enjoy doing so you keep doing it longer ! You dont even know how many people YOU got into the competitive scene because we are watching YOU. Keep the positivity!
Hey Zero. It's been so much fun watching you compete in these online tournaments, regardless of your results! I hope that I can speak for all your fans in saying we don't care which character you play, how tryhard you try, we just love watching you play smash! I understand you put a lot of pressure on yourself, that's how you got to where you are right now. I would personally love to see you play in more online tourneys, but whatever your heart tells you is the right decision.
Hey ZeRo I started playing Smash since brawl but I played casually without knowing what competitive smash was, but then in Sm4sh I discovered you, I started trying to play compititive but i was trash. Then, smash ultimate came out but i didnt had it until last christmas we had. Now that I know about competitive smash I've got much better at the game all thanks to seeing your videos
Watching this was bitter sweet, while watching you as a competitor is a complete joy it just seems like you weren't having fun, whether it being worried about doing well or getting frustrated with what character you were playing with/against. I totally understand you finishing your tournament career, and am glad you can focus on content as you seen to truly enjoy it. Thanks Zero :)
I got interested in Smash because of you by watching you in the big tournaments. Even when you retired from the competitive scene, I still loved watching you play. Keep up the good work and wish you the best bro
Zeros already done more than enough to prove himself. I’m sure that if he practiced and cared about ultimate competitively he would most definitely be a top 5-10 player in the world. He deserves to just play this for fun at this point, though I’m gonna miss these online zero runs. Though nothing like a regular tourney, seeing Zero compete in these was nostalgic and very entertaining.
Hey thanks Zero! Even though It was only for a bit, I really enjoyed watching you enter tournaments again! I’m sorry you felt you needed to start taking it seriously again! IMO watching you play with no stakes was the best part; so at least personally, it really didn’t matter to me where you placed. In the end, I’m glad I got to see you compete again! Keep up the great content! Your the best!
Zero’s sequences like the one from 12:42 to 12:55, are one of the reasons why Zero will always have my respect despite leaving tournaments. So glad to hear you’re moving forward. We’re with u 100%
I’ve enjoyed watching you in these tournaments lately. It doesn’t matter if you don’t do as well as you feel pressured to. As long as you’re having fun, it’s entertaining to watch.
Thanks for doing these online tournament videos. They’ve been very fun to watch and I understand why you’re taking a step back from competitive play. I think you should consider commentating. It would give you a reason to stay active in the community and it can be a good reason to make more in the field content, like your evo video
I love watching you in tournaments obviously, but it was really clear even before watching this that you weren't having fun with the last few matches. That's always gotta be the priority, so I'm glad you're putting tournaments on hold for now. Still excited about new content.
Watching zero in the smash 4 days was awesome. Inspirational. Im making an assumption here but I feel like he's frustrated because he knows he should be doing better. I Feel like he would be doing better if he practiced hard. He probably doesn't feel like practicing because of the toxicity he experienced and streaming is probably a better gig. I don't blame him. But i feel like part of what makes pro players cool is overcoming the pressure of the crowd and people rooting against you. Its sad to see one of the best defeated by that. Its cool to see him succeeding in what he does now but i really hope that one day i can see him randomly come back and wipe everyone out at some big tournament. That would be sick.
We dont want you to practice for that stuff just give us that juicy content like you usually do, hell personally ive been enjoying your runs on these tournaments because you have fun.. its creative content, just keep it up man 🙌🏼

Thank you, Zero. 4 all you did for us. I found out about you around the times before Smash Ultimate was realeased. You were in a video with Mario(Zero) vs Sonic(MKLeo). So then i started looking into you. That you've been playing in Smash Competitions for years. Ever since Smash 64 came out in 1999. Really Zero, thank you so much for what you did for us. I enjoyed watching your tournament videos even though you didn’t make it to grand finals. I just like watching you play Smash. But, if it’s more stressful than it is fun for you to play in these tournaments, then I understand why you don’t want to do them anymore. I’ll miss these, but I support your choice either way. I think most of your fans don’t mind if you don’t win; they like your content regardless because you make entertaining content. I’m sure your content will be at its best when you’re doing something you enjoy. God speed, ZeRo.
I was having a really fun time watching you play "poorly" in the tournaments for the memes. It's a really good way to show the weirder corners of the game and to introduce us to "better" (more serious / practiced) players. I'm glad to see you taking care of yourself, though. Did you consider that the problem might not be the tournament but your old mental habits regarding tournaments? Perhaps it's possible to re-train yourself as a casual. But only you know whether it's possible, or worth it. At any rate, best of wishes to you!
I wish you kept playing more tournaments, I didn’t care when you lost I just really liked watching competitive matches and learning a couple things from the matches
I'm glad to see you in this tournament, although you seem rather calm and direct when you talked at the ending of this video...anyway, keep having fun in this video game industry now, ZeRo :3
I just find it very sad that people pushed him away from the competitive side of smash, so far that he can't sustainably have fun doing semi competitive things like this. While I know it is his decision entirely I found I watched more content and had more fun watching him do things like this than most of his previous videos. Makes me sad to know I won't be watching nearly as much as I've grown accustomed to as well.
Well a huge problem is that if he doesn’t perform well, people will stop watching him. Many people started watching him because of his ability rather than his content and then stuck around. It’s why a lot of smash TH-camrs even have any viewers tbh. Their content is super boring but they are good so people watch. I’m not saying Zero is like all of those TH-camrs, but the pressure of losing viewers and going on the decline as a channel I’m sure contributes to his mindset.
Alex Baker He is clearly at least somewhat enjoying it. He said he doesn’t enjoy it AS MUCH as he wants to. Young ZeRo always seemed happy during the games. *that is excluding the smash 4 era*
@@WhiiteNoize I disagree. Many people who found out or already knew about why he left the scene get it. I'm still going to watch. Even further that you can see the desire to win is there as well as the mind. He just needs practice and could be top five again in six months.
@@gowiththeflow363 He enjoys playing. Not competitively, or to the point where you have to do the things necessary to be upper elite. While I did hope that he had rekindled some desire to play competitive here, I get why he won't. I just find it sad all around how he pushed to this point

But of course if you don't want to continue thats obviously fine but please know that for me, the enjoyment from watching you play is simply that. No strings attached, nothing. I just wanna see you play dude :D
Idk how this comment doesn't have more likes, this is exactly how I feel about it!
ZeRo yesterday: Tomorrow's video will be much more positive.
ZeRo today: *My Final Tournament*
Me: This is more of a bittersweet follow up.
Have fun! :D

Got this in my recommended. Already watched it before. Miss the content.
Still can’t believe he pulled mac on random.. long live the Timmy McJimmy spirit inside ZeRo.
Zero is a legend still playing in tournament to make us happy I hope he has a great day too and for everyone watching him too
Yo Zero, just wanted to let you know that beyond any results it is very fun watching you play in tournaments and cheering for you.

Love you ZeRo, waited for this upload :D
Good job ZeRo!

I still say that Sm4sh was the canon ending to Zero's Smash career.
He wanted it to end since then
Epilogue would be the right word for this

Respect man My brother loves this man and I see why. I love playing brawl and smash ultimate but I’m sad to see zero go but I will still support him
Same but this is my first smash game
I played brawl when I was real young, but I literally just spammed down b with pikachu lol
I like how there’s like 80 characters in this game and he gets Wario and Little Mac twice each
ikr

Thanks for doing these online tournament videos. They’ve been very fun to watch and I understand why you’re taking a step back from competitive play. I think you should consider commentating.
I was on a stream when ZeRo lost, I was heart broken when I saw his little mac lose.

I know some people are gonna be upset that your not doing tourneys anymore, but it is really awesome to see you having fun and not stressing about competing, even in these online tournaments. Loving the content, and looking forward to the future

Man... I'm gonna miss him competing.. again lool. I didn't even care how well he did, I just liked watching him play competitively :(
Little Mac was a true hero. What he lacked in size, he made up with a big heart. The heart of a champion.
I kinda miss zero repent and come back
I was having a really fun time watching you play "poorly" in the tournaments for the memes.
Yeah exactly
@luie da boss It's not like anyone was expecting him to do tournaments nonstop..... it's just fun to see him play against good people 🤷♂️
I'm glad to see you in this tournament, although you seem rather calm and direct when you talked at the ending of this video...anyway, keep having fun in this video game industry now, ZeRo :3
I dont think it's other people rather his own mind set that doesn't allow him to enjoy tourneys
Just not as much when he starts trying to show his motocross skills. 🤣😂🤣😂
It's saddening to see where people have driven him away from what he loved and wanted to do because he was the best at one point and he can't enjoy doing it for the content it provides.
I'm a super focused Samus main. I rely super heavy on her bombs and obnoxious survivability. I'd loose each match other then a lucky Samus draw, but definitely loose both sets in a row. I'm just not a roster surfer. But I am in the top ten of my local Dayton Ohio Clarkade Tourny. Even with nothing but Samus I can put the screw attacks to anyone other then the top 3.
I just wanted to say, even though you don't plan on playing competitively anymore, you've left your mark on the scene and will be remembered as a legend forever.
