Yes Vin, it's entirely possible to be educated in the bible and not believe/like it. I was raised in a Christian home, my parents were pastors. I went to Boston College (a catholic university) where I studied Theology to supplement my degree in history. I make it a point to read the bible cover to cover, as well as pseudopigraphical texts a couple times a year, and after all that I'm still a satanist. There have been many studies that conclude that atheists/agnostics are the most educated on the subject of religion, Jews are second, Christians are last. There is an old adage atheists use, "when you have the bible read to you, you become a Christian. When you read it yourself you become and atheist" haha
Behemoth is from Poland and all that analysis you make is a common knowledge here, since we are forced in primary school to learn religion. Every kid in school knows "Skład Apostolski" (Apostles' Creed) and can recite it at any moment. We know Bible very well, we know history of religion very well, we must to, we are forced to. First of all, I apreciate your video's. From my own experience I can say deconversion does not have to come out of any personal hurt or disappointment. For me it was a growing recognision of the difference in things I said and thought I believed, and what I actually believed . This growing realisation of cognitive dissonance is what, after a long period of struggling with it, lead me to eventually stop believing. After tackling many area's of cognitive dissonance I struggled with and abandoning them one by one. What I was left with was the humanistic values present in some parts of the bible which I still value to this day. What I in the end valued most had nothing to do with a higher power but how we as people treat eachother.

Another awesome review! Love watching your vids. I can personally relate to what you were saying about people having something bad happen and then questioning god, because it's who he took from us and how it was done that forced myself away from him and it is also where Behemoth have come in and given me something else to believe in. I will forever be with the adversary but enough about me, keep up the awesome work and can't wait for more vids
If you're going to a Behemoth concert, you have to listen to "Conquer All". I also recommend you check out "Daimonos" such an awesome opening song, also "Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica" and "Rom 5:8" are my favorites from the new album.
You really should check out the video for this song. In it, Nergal is paying credit to Swiss artist H.G. Giger (known to most as the designer of the Alien monster) by including some of the imagery from his paintings, and Nergal is depicted there as Antichrist rising above those dark-psychodelic surroundings, and that's where that awesome ending solo perfectly fits in.
I'm a couple days late so you probably won't see this, but Adam Nergal Darski does have an autobiography, "Confessions of a Heretic" from a few years ago.
Interesting video and excellent talk. While you were talking Vin, I remembered the parable "He who did not spare his companion" (Matthew 18, 23-35). And take carefully what I say! I am not the best example of Christian, my faith for years is like a small insect that walks itself (or rather, I am the insect). Have a good day Vin and Sori... ...Hail to The Village!!

Gaoler means jailer. Which works well in contrast with the word "judge" mentioned in the Nicene Creed. So gaoler would work just as well as beguiler I think.
Have fun but be careful on the show sorvins. I mean, with people moving/moshing, pretty dangerous in this state. So the front rows might be a place to stay away from. In the back it's usually more clam. So it's the safest place for sori. But you have vin to serve a shield, sori, so it will be fine.

Maybe it's time for you to check out "Arrival Of Satan's Empire" (Dark Funeral), "Slay The Nazarane" (Marduk) or "Inno A Satanna" (Emperor). If you want to go for a while to the Death Metal side, I add myself to those recommending Bolt Thrower ("When Cannons Fade" or "Cenotaph") and I suggest "Nothig Is Not" by Morbid Angel and "InTheir Darkened Shrines" by Nile.
As a wizard myself, nergal is definitely a powerful magician and conjurer of energy. There much purpose to his words and the music, it’s magick and it hits deep. Ave Hekate Ave Lucifer. Keep it up vin and sori I like watching y’all, I was a devout Christian at one point myself. I remember by 7yrs old growing up in a Catholic school already having memorised the Apostles Creed. I think growing up specifically Catholic like he did in Poland, gives you a very good insight and understanding as to where he's coming from. In fact every mention of being seated at the left hand of Satan etc; reminds me of learning to write (I'm left handed) and my Catholic teacher hitting my knuckles every time I tried to use my left hand. Getting detention and having to recite the Apostles Creed, the Stations of the Cross, kneel for 45 minutes during lunch time on the hard wood kneeling benches in the Catholic church attached to our school. On top of all that I was constantly told I was choosing to allow Satan through me and being evil etc. This was all ages 5-10 but also in the mid 90s where corporal punishment was banned in Australia but it happened anyway We also learned almost immediately, 5 years old about the gore of the crucifixion in extreme detail I understand when people come from that kind of Catholic upbringing easily produces a rebellion towards Christianity and we know Poland is quite extreme with the church having a very heavy hand in government.

Hope you enjoyed the concert. I saw them for the first time the day before Halloween. They really know how to put on a performance. It was truly an experience. I'd be interested to hear about your conversation with Nergal if you get the chance.
Love your videos, guys. I don't agree but as an ex-evangelical Christian (now agnostic atheist) it's interesting to hear your perspective. Give the band Atheist a listen! Anything off their 2nd album.
A great review. And even better coming from a well informed and researched Christian perspective. As someone who (a) Loves Death Metal and (b) Enjoys reading about Christianity (in particular Roman Catholicism) it's great to have people that know their stuff interpreting and discussing the lyrics and overall theme of the song.
Did you guys ever do “Furor Divinus”? That song is intense. “Raise the dagger, Abraham, Slit the throat, thy only son, Reverse the history of man, fuck, and reset the world!” So full of anger and hatred. It’s crazy.
I was born and raised in a Christian faith and when I realized I no longer believed any of it, it was not because I wanted to lose my faith, but I had to. I couldn't keep telling myself the lies and the inconsistencies that came with it. When you are born and raised with it and you are a person who can go deep then it is a huge deal to break away from that and it can take years even decades. I also wrote a song when I was in a band called "Heaven's Coming Down" that was about my personal break with god and the enormous work it took to free myself from the shackles of a childhood of indoctrination and fear of the dark. I had to learn to love the dark to come at peace with myself. But it really can be a huge thing and it can feel like you need to stand up and face this god that hovered over your life like judge and executioner like the sword of Damocles. That may sound very over the top perhaps but that's how it felt to me as well. So no, I do not believe in the existence of a god, particularly the Abrahamic one, but he was a huge part of the first 25 years of my life. The saying you can take the child out of the war but you can't take the war out of the child rings very true for me in that sense. I could take myself out of religion but it was very very hard to take the religion out of me, even after I realized it wasn't something I couldn't believe in or stand for any longer. So my song "Heaven's Coming Down" starts with the line: A single soul stronger than fate, bringing down heaven's gate. It's because breaking with religion when you grew up in it and were deep into it, is massive. It's like you're changing the fate and defying a god to stand of for yourself. To no longer be usurped by this invisible force that is watching you wherever you go. It's massive to do this when you were born into it and were into it deeply. So please Vin, understand it can really be like that when you stop believing. It's a terrible thing to have to do and it does feel like you have to stand up to god as if he was real because that's the only way to deal with the trauma and move on. I believed passionately growing up and learning that it wasn't right was like losing my life. It was a traumatic loss and it comes with anger but also pain and sadness. And it can really run deep. It's why I think music like this can be so powerful.
I appreciate your opinion. There's many things I don't understand. And many things I have been through mentally that has made me feel very rejected. And at times even threatened. I will never be a christian. And although I relate to the aspect of pain that flows through behemoth as a band. I will never be a satanist either. To be a seeker within my own mind and to continue to seek condemns me to hell. According to scripture. And to embrace my bravery and who I truly am has not brought peace into my life. But I will continue to seek peace until the end.
Don't know if you guys live anywhere near Brunswick Georgia but a few minutes ago I swear I saw Vin or an identical of Vin when I was driving 😂. Nice videos you guys keep it up
I’m french I can help your pronounciation : messe exactly pronounce like English word mess. A little of history of English would allow you to understand that many English words are originating in Old French. When they were add to English, the French words were almost all cut from their last « e ». I also remark that American people always pronounce the final « e » with it’s alphabetical sound instead muting it. Britannic people mute it maybe because they live closer to French people. :) However, on the meaning you are right : it means Black mess.
I saw them just 2 nights ago! They are touring with wolves in the throne room and at the gates. Tell me what you think of wolves in the throne room. They are atmospheric black metal duo from Washington state. PS: you should totally react to wolves in the throne room - born from the serpent's eye
So Nergal is saying the Christians probably understand Behemoth lyrics better than Behemoth fans and the Christians are saying Behemoth probably know more Bible than most Christians. What a world we live in

You should most definitely check out some of Behemoth's older stuff! Inner Sanctum, Kriegsphilosophie, Slaying The Prophets ov Isa, Ov Fire And The Void, As Above So Below... plenty of songs to pick from! The Satanist is a masterpiece of an album, 10/10 definitely but you really need to dig deeper into the band's history to see how they evolved through the ages to reach the pinnacle.
There are lots of people who only get the surface-level, shock value aspects of stuff like this, and this will only increase with their popularity. But there are plenty that know. They tend not to make themselves known, generally speaking, as outing yourself doesn't tend to lead to positive things. Occultists can also be very elitist and get cross with people who speak openly about these types of things.
don't sweat the concert, Sori. I still get the same anxiousness sometimes. Idk what it is. But I've seen Behemoth and it was fantastic and immersive. Guys. Hear me out. I don't care if it's at the bottom of 1000 other requests you get everyday, so long as it makes the list.
Obituary - Violence And Ten thousand ways to die (with the videos if possible because it's a 2 part video which is funny and both are great songs)
The title of the song here is in french, it means "black mass". You don't pronounce it "messy" but more like "mess", the place where you go to eat.
Moonspell - Night Eternal
I'm a big Behemoth fan but if you guys haven't seen the actual video for the song, It tells more of what it's about
Don't know if you guys live anywhere near Brunswick Georgia but a few minutes ago I swear I saw Vin or an identical of Vin when I was driving 😂. Nice videos you guys keep it up
Nope, it would have been a doppelganger lol.
I was going to suggest this one on your last video like 15 minutes ago 😄
Vin what’s the name of your friends band? Are y’all going to post the behemoth show? Have a great one!
Bolt Thrower - When Cannons Fade
What a world we live in
Awesome day! Awesome reaction! This song has maybe my favorite solo from the entire album. Check out the official video too, pretty cool visuals. Also, check out Nergal's book, Confessions of a Heretic. You picked up on some aspects of his life in this review :)
Dark funeral - my funeral. Its a great video.

Advent Sorrow - Pestilence shall come. Here are the lyrics for A.S adventsorrow.bandcamp.com/track/pestilence-shall-come
You should most definitely check out some of Behemoth's older stuff!
MY DYING BRIDE "The Cry of Mankind"
"She is the Dark", "My Hope, the Destroyer"
"The Sexuality of Bereavement"
"Your Shameful Heaven", "Your River"
This song is so good 🤣🤣🤣🤣🎶🎶🎶🎶🎼 I swear I know they have to be dying to headbang
There are lots of people who only get the surface-level, shock value aspects of stuff like this, and this will only increase with their popularity. But there are plenty that know. They tend not to make themselves known, generally speaking, as outing yourself doesn't tend to lead to positive things. Occultists can also be very elitist and get cross with people who speak openly about these types of things.
You guys need to react to Ov Fire and the Void by Behemoth as well!
Carach angren - the funerary dirge of a violinist
Wolves in the Throne Room are a great band from the United States. I think they open the show hope you get to pay attention to them. Excellent stuff.
Two other Behemoth song I really like is Daimonos and Demigod. You should check them out. Otherwise more Helloween will do. Keeper of the seven keys 🎃
Cro Mags-World Peace
Refused-New Noise
don't sweat the concert, Sori. I still get the same anxiousness sometimes. Idk what it is. But I've seen Behemoth and it was fantastic and immersive.
Guys. Hear me out. I don't care if it's at the bottom of 1000 other requests you get everyday, so long as it makes the list. But listen to *THANTIFAXATH* - The Bright White Nothing At The End Of The Tunnel (band is pronounced than-tee-fax-ath lol)
Here's something you should sink your teeths into. 👍😁 THE best extreme metal band around.
