    John: "Close Combat is really deadly..."
    John: "Wow, that's like how I roll in a real game!"
    Yup, same here! LOL! I guess assault is only deadly when the dice are really with you!

    I truly appreciate this video. I just got into Flames of War with a few starter boxes and the assaulting part was confusing me a bit.

    AFAIK a team does not become pinned simply because it took part in an assault (e.g. both the winner and loser), it’s only the unit that has to break off that becomes Pinned.

    I would think you go as normal but need to have windows or doors or some openings to bring your Unit in contact or as close as you possibly can outside (if there is not enough space to actually place them into the building). But I might be wrong here.

    I have been waiting for this day
    I have been playing for about 3 years now almost 4 and I just couldn’t get my head around the assault step

    Excellent videos so far!. I do have a question about assaults though. How would one go about an infantry platoon assaulting another infantry platoon when the defender is held up in a building with the attacker coming from outside?

    John, more advanced question. Let’s say the tanks did not fail the motivation. Do they attempt to remount bailed units before swinging again or just the operational tanks attack on next assault round?

    • @AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall
      @AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tanks would stay bailed out until trying to remount at the beginning of their next Turn's starting step.

      @@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall Let's say they pass the motivation test. Now what? How to end the assault without automatically losing those 2 bailed out tanks? Would the one operational tank have to continue the assault and win, so the Germans are forced to fall back? If he decides to break off, the bailed tanks are destroyed, right?

      @@zxcvbob Unless the tanks win the assault the bailed out tanks will be destroyed.

    A Unit that Breaks off is Pinned Down. The winnig team do not suffer this penalty.

    Quick question. Just got the hit the beach set. For hq on my tanks. Do I need just one guy in an open hatch for the 75’s and one for the 76’s? Does it matter how many guys I put in tanks as long as o know who is my hq?

    • @AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall
      @AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like to use tank commanders to denote my command tanks. It's easy for me and my opponent to tell the difference. However you could also denote the tank however you want, as long as it's easy for you and your opponent to tell the difference

      Oh it does. Well camouflaged teams regularly get missed in the game
