* Season 1 (Awakening)
- The world is filled by thousands of monsters named Amazonz, and the company of Nozama Pharmacy has hired a special team to hunt down and eliminate them. One day, the team were hunting down two Amazon riders, Amazon Riders Alpha and Omega, with their transformers being Jin and Haruka respectfully.
- Haruka eventually joined the team to hunt down the Amazonz. However, when they were trying to eliminate a group of Amazonz that were hiding inside a restaurant, Haruka eventually divided his opinion with the group when he found out that those Amazonz have no intention to harm humans. The restaurant has also changed Mamoru, one of the members in the team. He eventually started to have interests in eating human beings. After Jin and Haruka defeated Sigma, Nozama Pharmacy decided to launch a special plan named Tlaloc, a plan to kill all Amazonz. Mamoru was in a struggle during Tlaloc because he previously ate one of his friends, Kazuya Mizaki's arm. Haruka eventually rescued him and both of them escaped.
* Season 2 (Reincarnation)
- In the past, a massive spill occurred at the Amazonz experimental lab. Most of the survivors were destroyed, hot-blooded young men enjoyed hunting Amazonz and the experiment seemed to be drawing to an end. Far than ending, however, it was entering a completely new phase. The number of cases of ordinary people turning into Amazonz without warning was rising. The government formed a new extermination unit to assassinate people who had turned into Amazonz secretly and struggled to hide the truth.
- Chihiro/Kamen Rider Amazon Neo is a loner, a boy raised by Amazonz who hates them but must suppress his cannibalistic urges. One day he meets Iyu, an Amazon girl who transforms into Crow Amazon and vanquishes Amazon enemies with her awesome fighting power. Chihiro is amazed at his first glance of Iyu, because she’s the first human he’s met without thinking, “I want to eat her.” She’s the first opponent he’s ever wanted to get close to, but Chihiro is unaware of her story. Super Hero Time on TV-Asahi wouldn’t do violence or other edgy things, sadly. That’s why we have V-Cinext and Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club to handle the absence of dark tones.
Plus, the kaijins for some of the Heisei and most of the Reiwa seasons have more cursed and monstrous looks than the Showa ones.

Even BEFORE the slashing and dashing, you can see that it's a very different season, just by the fighting style alone.
It's more animal-like than Season 2 and the movie.
@@shanthegamer21 that actually took for surprise, you see Chihiro is supposed to be a super dangerous Amazon with zero self control (in battle mean, he's a fairly chill dude outside it), but his fighting style is a lot less wild than Haruka's and also less effective than Jin's (his fighting style is supposed to be a midpoint between them but he doesn't take either to it's full extreme) which accidentally makes him wimpier, Haruka being less violent is justified by him being more in control of his amazon self and Jin was always the collected one (he's also blind now so he kinda *needs* to fight differently) but Chihiro would have been better with a fighting style like his father's but more brutal.

@@shanthegamer21 yeah, season 2 and movie occur after a good couple years and the Amazons and beasts have had time to become smarter and develop more from wild beasts into thinking creatures. Even some of the newly formed beasts in season 2 are smarter and less animalistic in their nature than the ones from season 1.
It's so brutal and almost primal in its fighting style and I love it. This is my second favorite kamen rider season

When Kamen Rider go really dark and brutal. Saw both season and movie which is brutally awesome which I like that.
Edgy and Brutal it's not any more dark than a decent chunk of Rider, but just is literally darker they added a filter, story wise it's just way too over the top to really be dark
@@rescuerex7031 dude, this has more blood violence than the entire franchise, to not mention the dark themes like necrophagia for example and the bleak, almost 100% devoid of humor setting. THATS the most important piece here, even the darkest KR series possess a reasonable share of comedy but jokes and light humor in Amazons is so fucking RARE that is surreal. They treat everything seriously 99,99% of the time.

@@Wayfinder2039Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue was the first Rated R one. It was a V-Cinema release (A.K.A. Direct-to-video) and it came out in 1992. Then there was the 2005/2007 movies, Kamen Rider: The First and Kamen Rider: The Next. They were R due to the horror elements that were introduced, with Next being the harder R between the two. Then Kamen Rider Amazons which came out 2016 to 2017. Its remake of the original Kamen Rider Amazon that came out in 1974. Then Kamen Rider Black Sun in 2022, which itself a remake of Kamen Rider Black (1988). And the latest one, Shin Kamen Rider (2023). A remake of the original series that came out on 1971. The movie is part of the Shin Tokusatsu Movie Trilogy created by Hideaki Anno. (Shin Godzilla (2016), Shin Ultraman (2022) and Shin Kamen Rider) With Anno being know for the director of the series and films of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.

It’s interesting that, instead of traditional opening themes, amazons has its season one opening theme play in the background without visuals, and season two actually has an ending theme instead. Well, the Amazon prime versions, I think.
Watched the first episode on Amazon prime and it kicked ass and I loved the blend of Horror and Drama and the suits are awesome.

It's pretty bad compared to the original. It went a direction alright, one unrecognizable.
It's violent but absolutely low end on kamen rider psychological trauma. I want my heart torn out and stomped on and to be tortured by the show. I want to care about the characters so much thay when they're in trouble I want to feel worried. I want to be infuriated by the bad guys. I want the heel turn to feel like a real betrayal. And i want the lead rider to hit a point he regrets. Black Sun failed in every respect except that the suits were cool.

I’d recommend cutting parts of this video down because, while awesome, there’s no way TH-cam isn’t gonna take this down. They’ve taken down Kamen Rider Henshin compilations for far less.

I really wish they'd bothered to explain why Sigma looks so much like Wild Omega. I know that's it's a repainted suit because of the low budget, but then later they show Jin's Amazon form being largely the same as his Rider form, just minus the belt, and now you've also got the unanswered question of why the Driver has such drastic physical effect on Haruka.
It reeks of poor planning.
Haruka's Amazon form should've been the same as his Rider form, like Jin, just beltless, letting them introduce Sigma with a unique suit. As it is, Sigma feels like a very last minute addition.
Sigma was killed but then got rivived by the company who made Amazons so they probably used some Amazon DNA that was the same type of DNA Omega had to make Sigma. Jin became an Amazon on his own free will so thats why his less all over the place when his in his Alpha form so him being a Wild Amazon and having the same form might be because of that. and Haruka having a way more different Wild Amazon form might be because his a new type of Amazon
This is my theory about that:
Alpha is the “Wild Amazon”, so it reflects Jin’s Amazon form.
Omega is the “Evolution Amazon”, so it gives Haruka a suit of armor that can “evolve”, allowing him to adapt to different situations.
Sigma is basically a knockoff of Alpha, probably made with some of Haruka’s specific Amazon dna, thus making him look like Wild Omega.
ChaosJoker Neo Alpha can be considered the same situation, but with Neo’s dead DNA.
maybe Jin's look the same belt-less or not because he was born human, until he injected amazon cells into hemself

I think it has to do with belts
well the NEO amazon riders look like that due to the belts using more cybernetic enhancements (the part's that look like metal ARE metal and a good chunk of the suit is mechanic instead of biological) meaning that they are technically cyborgs when transformed which makes it look weird compared to the other riders.
