The couple are there, they are sitting at the same table together, but they do not seem to hear each other. Do they? Or do they not? The man seems to be trying to communicate, but the woman is in her own world and either does not or does not want to hear him. Other themes I think are relationships, marriage, sexual desire, infidelity, growing older, difference in outlook on life between men and women....
