Sorry about your stolen boat but I'll bet you can find a used Jon boat again for a good price (just not yet because all used boat prices are crazy right now).
@@LazyLocations I ended up getting him a gheenoe used jus need a motor on it and we good to go I was looking at a 1999 hewes at st augustine but they wanted 25 grand for it crazy so me n wife gonna wait for off season mayb finance a newer hewes im new to all this we moved to Florida so we are new to area thts our family dream boat is a hewes so we can go camping
@@LazyLocations how much do u think a hewes used boat will be in the off-season or any kinda skiff like ankona skiffs are nice to but the prices u can buy a house for tht price
@@tntcichlids8015 I think it would be way higher than a used Jon boat. Personally, I love the classic Boston Whaler Sport 15 (1980-1994). They make incredible shallow water boats and hold their value better than just about any boat (Hewes holds their value great too). The thing that makes the classic sport 15 so great is they are simple, unsinkable and stable. Also, they are very light weight and don't require much water to float. th-cam.com/video/UoabHKc370o/w-d-xo.html

Im looking for a boat to fish inshore as well as i have a family of 5 i really want one of these boats probably would get a 21 ft would you advise getting one of these or a 21 ft bay
For a family of 5 I'd probably get a Pathfinder but if I was firm on a flat's boat (Hewes) I'd probably go bigger. that being said, the seating is still about the same. Just more room on the 21.
You own my two favorite models of boats...Whaler and the Hewes. I have an 11 ft Whaler, but I don't own a Hewes, yet. I have a 28 ft Wellcraft, because my wife and I like to go on overnight trips around the Chesapeake Bay. I'll get a Hewes when I retire on the flats in the Panhandle.
How is the boat in inlets? Also would it be good for a younger boy, I have a baby on the way, and I need to convince the wife. Would it be okay in deeper water fluke jigging ?
It's great for a skiff/flats boat but flats boats and skiffs shouldn't regularly run inlets unless glassy calm. Based upon your requirements I'd recommend another boat for going offshore for fluke and running inlets. Are you in Jersey? I used to fish for fluke up there.

Got a 2020 with the 150, still poles in like 8 inches
It probably flies too!
Very nice boat & great review. Thanks Lazy Locations!
You welcome Maxwell! Thanks for the kind words.
I have some year...some boat...almost exact same set up and love it just as much as you do for all the same reasons. Great video.
Thanks Garry! Great boat!
So what is plenty fast? 30, 40, 50, 60? Give us some numbers man!😎
You didn't watch the whole video! 42mph with the 115 vmax.
Watched it all. Didn’t realize that was WOT, must’ve missed you say it. Nice boat.
@@LazyLocations is that with a 4 blade or 3 blade prop?
@@dukey2832 3 blade
I hit 42 @5600 rpm, 4 blade with too much pitch ptr4 18p
I have a 2020 RF18 set up basically the same as yours and i love mine... As you said the ride is great and that 115 pushes it nicely

Yes, they are awesome boats. Btw, is the "CG" in your "CG Max" name referring to the Coast Guard?
@@LazyLocations Yes Sir...I'm Active Coast Guard up here in Portsmouth, VA

Looks like a nice clean boat. Your son should be gracious to have access to this for fishing on the intracoastal, etc.
