Hi sir, i am learning from this but if i change the material property of my sample, the results are not changing. Both air and sample are part of acoustic region. Should i select sample also when i am creating port. thank you
Hello. The absorption coefficient in the JCA model depends on five parameters. If you adjust any of these parameters, the results will change accordingly.
@@caewitharminhashemi Thanks for the reply and this video. I was searching for a tutorial in internet. This video helped me to learn numerical simulation.
hello sir, after clicking on solve it is giving me this error "The Program Controlled Far-field Radiation Surface detection option chosen in the Analysis Settings could not find any surfaces that are a part of Absorption Element/Surface, Impedance/Radiation boundaries or Artificially Matched Layers interface. The post processor will not be able to evaluate Far Field results." how to solve this.
@@nurulsyafina1086 absorption coefficient is independent of inlet. Port boundary is defined to calculate absorption coefficient and no need to other boundaries
Hi Armin, how are you? I would like to know if it is possible for you to record a video teaching us how to calculate the tortuosity of a porous medium using COMSOL. Thanks!
Hello sir will you please put a video to see the combined effect of a microperforated plate along with porous absorber.?how to combine two physics together to get net effective absorption coefficient?
@@caewitharminhashemi sir so is it possible to implement in 3 D. as well also do I have to use MAA's equation for that.. only this boundary condition is sufficient?
@@PriyankaSuryawanshi-if7du I suggest that you solve model with the perforated boundary condition first. 3D model is another scenario and needs another physics in comsol. The Maa equation is not available in Comsol

Hello, this is just a warning and is not important. Don't worry, it won't affect your solution.
Hi sir, you mention that the other cylinder have rigid boundaries. So, do we need to apply rigid wall on its surfaces?
All boundaries are rigid by default in acoustics system. No need to define rigid boundaries
Another question sir. Is it possible if i apply surface velocity and radiation boundary at the inlet face? Or we can ignore it?

Hello. add a interior perforated plate boundary on the poroacoustics domain. it's not complicated.
@@caewitharminhashemi ok sir i will try. Will you pls share your email ?

sir do we have to model this as 2D?
