Trails and Trees Event

San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the District 8 City Council Office, hosted a Trails and Trees event at Eisenhower Park on November 6, 2021. The event celebrated both the completion of the Salado Creek and Leon Creek Greenway trail connection and Texas Arbor Day. The completion of this trail connection marks a wonderful milestone for the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails System - 20 years in the making - offering trail users 40 miles of connected trail to explore. In total, 86 miles of greenway trails are now complete.
