correct if im wrong, but buck never was a tank, sure he had a lot of health and low hp, but he was a flank too, but a flank who wins the fight by the time running enemies out of their shots and cooldowns
Really good guide overall, but I have to seriously disagree with the Ensnare loadout you put together. Tangled is basically a useless card. Having one extra damage boosted shot doesn't really help you all that much. Some people might not know this, but Ensnare ONLY lets you kill things faster if you are fighting a target that has anywhere between 2301-2720 HP (or effective HP through things like DR). The average health pool of targets you fight is 2200, meaning that you can kill them in 3 shots + net regardless if you have a damage boost or not. If you are having to fire a fourth shot, it's likely because the enemy only has a small amount of health remaining, at which point it doesn't matter if you have a damage boost because you are going to kill them anyway. Tangled still works fine into tanks, but they aren't really your main target. Stomping ground is good as a level one filler when you aren't playing Bounce House, but I find it weird to put it at level 3 here. Net shot is your main ability, so I find it better to just run normal Net shot cooldown reduction (preferably at level 4-5 minimum), especially since it doesn't rely on you getting a kill. Bully is a fine card, but the highest I'd put it at is level 4. At level 5 I feel like you are investing too many points into a card that falls off significantly once the enemy starts building cauterize. I also think that it is a little weird to build Ensnare for this much sustain. If you want sustain, just play Bulk Up. Gotcha is SERIOUSLY underrated. I probably have 100+ hours in Ensnare at this point and this card is what lets me win like 90% of my fights. Having this card at level 4-5 combined with Concussion at level 5 gives you a 40-50% increase in movement speed for 3 seconds with only a 2 second effective cooldown. The movement speed helps you dodge/juke enemy attacks, catch up to enemies, run away from dangerous situations, or just move around the map when you are trying to get somewhere quick without using your leap. The best part is that you don't even have to hit an enemy with your net to gain the movement speed, so if you miss you still get value from your loadout.
Good points. The reason I like Tangled here is because like I said, this is better to run when you anticipate having to fight tanks at some point. That extra shot, boosted by Bully, gets you a bit more sustain on that tank you're fighting, and if you're fighting someone like Makoa, that damage boosted headshot can be very spicy. You could definitely go for something like what you're proposing with Gotcha, in fact that actually sounds like something fun I want to try.
I dont play buck, and gotcha is like the only card at 5 in the deck, i find it usefull, i can chase faster while they are slowed. And if they die fast enough i can just escape with 50% faster speed.
I’m a Buck main and I have top 5 tips to improve at this juggernaut. 1. Positioning: If your health is running low make sure to take cover from enemies. Similar to Androxus, Buck can jiggle peek with ease. 2. Buck has some counters that deny him, Evie and Maeve are dive flankers Evie’s cripple from her ultimate shuts down Buck easily. Maeve doesn’t have a cripple but she can burst him from the numerous height of her jumps. Be sure to pressure them and go in for a clean kill, Buck can easily take down Maeve and Evie due to their health pools and the large damage that’s augmented from his shotgun. 3. Buck is a brawler flank and is able to ambush champions, he good against blaster champions and off tanks. Make sure you find cover to pressure them and be careful when three enemies charge at you, unlike the other flanks Buck fails at 1v4 or 3. Don’t put Buck in the enemy backline besides his recovery he isn’t able to survive from more toughest champions like Grover and Moji. 4. Wait for your time: Buck is like a large predator find low health enemies hiding in covers. 5. Due to his broadness, Buck can take damage though be careful how long you stand out in the open.

Another tip using Buck:pls time your jumps using bounce house and not jump directly onto them because it just disorients you and youve just wasted a card,have some precognition as to where you want your enemy to be and an escape route planned if necessary

I ended up playing with some of the pro players already and kreepers. You were going off as buck. Also don't let the negativity get to you. Even if it doesn't bother you in the slightest you were very friendly in game. This is a guide on how you recommend buck to be played. Reading some of these comments make me think some people don't understand your just trying to be helpful. Paladins is already a small community but I'm glad we got some good TH-cam's like you and kreepers. Keep up the good work man would love to play again with you!
This video was amazing it will help buck new players a lot but i think that the card rapid sustain is useless especially with bulk up i think that u need to go full damage reduction even with cautz buck will be super hard to kill (sorry for my English 😂😂😂)
i run both DR cards for both Recovery and Heroic Leap because it basically turns buck into a literal tank for the flank class and you can even face tank both skye and terminus's ultimate

9:27 NO diminishing returns!? Also, I haven't been hearing good things about Deft Hands from anyone. Is it really that bad? The worst thing that can happen to you is reloading mid-fight that either gets you killed or an enemy that manages to get away.
The only talent i find bad for Buck is just Bulk up see yeah at the begining is so goo,but the longer the match goes the worse it gets.And at the end where enemies bought caut 3 u wont be healing and dealing big dmg unlike with Ensnare and Bounce House
@@pepper5439 the 300 heal isn't the main thing about playing that legendary, if you are playing bulk up with the dr build you pop the heal before you engage, giving you easy 1v1 then let caut fall off and pop it again to heal up

"Buck isn't good at fighting multiple champions so find a lone champion" Ok, I get that. But what do I do in the meantime. I'm not contributing by helping with the point unless people are contesting it. I constantly struggle playing flank whenever there aren't enemies to flank. I have this general question of what do I do as a flank when not flanking? Even with moji im rather useless as anything but a flank. But at times flanking is suicide so I just hide and wait for an opportunity. Whoch isn't helping my team

bucks damage is pretty underrated. it's really easy to get headshots with him (and as you've heard from this video, his headshot damage is deadly), if you're sure you can't dive into their backline to get a kill, help out on the point a bit or help out someone who's alone in the right flank for example. the damage you dish out will be noticeable, you can turn the guy easily into a damage class champion.
Buck is literally one of the best anti flank flanks with ensnare. Just got to time it right with any or the flanks that have cleanse abilities. Moji and talus bit are easy fodder for buck.

You run bulk up for the extra hp after recovery used and the dr build, its not about the heal
