THIS whole video, what people dont realise is that you're not 17 anymore you are in your 20s, you are a woman now, and lifestyle, priorities, ideals, thoughts etc change as you get older. I also applaud you for the long distance thing, I honestly have no idea how you do it, the intimacy, the company the date nights etc that is just a true testimate to the relationship. Its refreshing to see that you know that you are changing and growing for the right reasons xx

Thank you for this video Emily, it really gave me some hope for the year. I've been struggling with anxiety and stress for the past months and it has gotten me feeling really bad. But hearing you talk positively about the future really gave me a spark to try and change things in my life and take control. It's so easy to feel overwhelmed by anxiety and while I know it's okay to have bad days I need to actively work towards feeling better.

I feel this! I feel like for the past year/18 months we haven’t been able to do things and so I’ve just been plodding on and this year I’m like no I’m gonna make this year memorable get out and do things and not feel like I’ve wasted another year. This is the first year I’ve made proper “resolutions” if you will and I was to put it on a vision board and so many come under just being happy and not stressing and working on myself, taking time for myself and I fully plan on keeping to that. Hope 2022 bring you all the hope and happiness in the world🥰x

I totally get where you’re coming from. I think this year I’ve felt the need to live my life again, I feel like it’s all been on pause. As a now 27 year old, I feel like socially I missed out on life the past two years. I’m doing the same as you are, making some positive plans and going forward with optimism of the year ahead. I hope it’s a good year for us all! X

One thing to remember Emily is, it's not "normal" to be happy every day, normal is up and down, normal is feeling content and content is what people should be striving for! Contentment is that natural warm fuzzy feeling inside what we all want, not happiness. Being happy is a high energy emotion and it drains us! Contentment is neutral and an easily maintained emotional state!
That's such a true point! I'd not thought of it that way!

Absolute Emily!! You’re my fav TH-camr and I think 2022 is hopeful for everyone :) I feel the same way. I think once you hit your mid twenties this new outlook happens. I’m 27 now but when I was 25 I had that mental shift too and I feel 1000% better about life. All the best! Love you em :D

Fantastic Em. One thing I admire (as a slightly older woman)is when you have issues; uncertainty, depression, worries. You do something about it, you reassess and try to fight thru it. even if that means sitting with it for a while and just not being okay. I love it so much knowing I'm not the only one who feels that way and has those ???? days.
Your growth has been wonderful to see and hey ur still my comfort vlogger not because you stay the same but because you are a real person. You deserve to feel at home on your own channel and to feel like you're living for your own truth.

I can resonate with a lot in this video. I’m 24 now, my dad passed away just before Covid. Since the first lockdown I’ve finished my masters and have already done one year of my first ‘adult job’ (working from home) and have had my first relationship (over a year now). I’ve lost a few close friends over the last year because I’m in a completely different place now to where I was 2 years ago, these friends did not support me after my dad passed and they turned toxic and jealous when they saw me achieve good things with my relationship and job. I feel I’m in a weird mental place lately because I’m after moving on in so many parts of my life but I still feel alone and lonely and sometimes unhappy dealing with the loss of friendship even though it did turn toxic. 2022 will be the year of self growth and learning to be happy and find happiness in everyday activities. Thank you Emily for all your content and goodluck in the new house!

Emily I love your vlogs, have followed you for so long and I am so glad you are back but il be honest- From the outside your life looks SO perfect, the dream for so many of us, and it’s really hard to imagine how you couldn’t be happy, like the things you have we often imagine would make us all happy. So it’s really really helpful to hear that you can have everything you have and still feel that you haven’t found happiness, it’s such an important lesson and so helpful for perspective. I dont know if that’s come across right, don’t know if you thought that would be an extra benefit to your viewers, as well as being really relatable to how so many of us feel. In fact I think it’s even more relatable as we all probably look at others and think how amazing their lives are, but then feel unhappy with our own. I am also trying to focus on just being, and just living rather than feeling pressure of what I could/should have done or should do next. I think just being happy and content would lead to the best possible future.
I hope 2022 is just as you would love it to be, I’m going to be taking inspiration for you as always for how you go about making this year great. I am also hoping for a good one after the worst 2 years. I’m looking forward to seeing your house evolve, we’re living in our renovation as family are far away and I need to be near work, but your project is giving me huge motivation! Xx

I went to waterstones today and bought the book you were talking about. After reading a few pages on Google books I thought it was rubbish so I decided to go and get the book to read it all. Haven't started it yet though as I'm on another book but am so looking forward to reading it. Emily, you need to know how kind, thoughtful and real you are with everyone because it really does make a difference to people lives including mine, so thank you for that! Hope everything goes okay and you sort things out sooner rather than later xx

In Austria restrictions are not even closed to be gone so the feeling of hope is not here at all... and that is something we're kind of used to now but it has a big impact on how motivated, hopeful, etc. I feel. It's hard... SO privileged myself that I can't complain but still hard...

People can always choose to not watch I think they forget that instead of being negative just switch off we love your content, so glad your putting yourself first! I’m struggling still I’m high risk and not allowed the jab so I feel pretty stuck atm we have been advised to shield again from my GP just got to keep reminding myself this too shall pass xxxx
The 'I can't plan, so I won't do it,' really stood out to me. This is me too, and after watching this, I think I will take your advice and try to just do things as well.
I think we have all struggled and evolved over the last couple of years. Most days I’m fine but sometimes I just wish things would go back to how they were before covid when I was living in my old house (However things are getting better now Iv started a club & got holidays planned that should hopefully go ahead and not be cancelled.). But we all need to change, evolve, embrace who we are becoming, accept changes as hard as they can be. If you want to post something just post it- if you loose viewers because your content is changing well don’t worry as you may well got in new viewers who like your new content. P.S. I look forward to our updates on the new flat. Happy 2022.

Finding happiness isn't about the big overall happiness. It's about finding happiness in the small everyday things that you normally wouldn't appreciate. It all adds up.
I've been feeling the same, as many people have, the past few years. I've got a big international move planned thats been delayed and delayed since the start of 2020. And it's still so uncertain. It feels like being in limbo and I'll never start living the life I've been planning. Hoping borders will be open for me soon 🤞. But in the meantime i've been trying to just enjoy the little things in life and appreciate what I have right in front of me, not what I'm planning for the future because the future is so uncertain.
I can tell you're happy now cause you're glowing love, wish you the best and can't wait for future videos, take time to yourself 💚

Hey Emily, I loved watching this video :) , you do you and the loyal people will follow, I am almost 31 (Oh my days that is the first time I've thought about that) and I only truly just feel like I have found myself and who I want to be in life, I feel so much more content and enjoy every single day. It is so hard when you're feeling lost, I have really been there, I am actually coming off anti-depressants as we speak. Happiness is everything and if you need to lose a few followers then so be it, you do you :) and now I will stop rambling on haha.
