Very fun review, as well as very complete. A deer broadsided our 2020 Suburban Premier on our recent cross-country trip. The deer lost the tussle. We replaced the damaged vehicle with a brand new 2024 Suburban High Country. We have no regrets, received a fair trade and a discount from the MSRP. The car is equal in equipment to the damaged vehicle and has better tire configuration, the ride is smoother and quieter, the safety feature with all the cameras is an incredible upgrade. The wireless connectivity is a huge upgrade. The only concern is in our 2020 Premier we removed the 2nd row seats allowing us more interior room for SUV camping which we do, a couple times a month. I am hesitant about removing the 2nd row seats on the 2024 High Country due to some of the blog posts about warning lights, air bags, voiding warranty, etc. Any thoughts or information or advice you or anyone has on seat removal would be appreciated. You would be impressed with the room created by the 2nd row seat removal.
A Suburban was the longest lasting vehicle I have owned. Regular oil changes, kept after the repairs, etc, and it went some 350,000 miles. the engine had never been taken apart. It actually ran well at its end, but rust rendered the frame to week for the Sub to remain on the road.
I love these reviews, but they’re definitely aimed for road trip/highway trips. I think it’d be great to see Evie try to parallel park this land barge, or even fit it in a typical grocery store parking lot space as part of the normal review.
I made all 3 of my kids take their driver test in the Suburban, and granted we’ve owned 3 over 20 years, my 5 foot tall wife parallel parks with aplomb!
Yeah, that spare tire under the vehicle is awesome. Until your in a climate where cold and snow make it so much fun to no only change a flat but access the spare.
