Camp lazlo does have another special.its called hello summer, goodbye camp;it's about the camp closing and lazlo and friends trying to unclose it
I just did another video on that!
Trying? 😢
I remember when this came out, the most common complaint was that it spent most of its time on the flashback and not enough on the plot point tying it together. All the while, I'm reading these reviews thinking 'You guys realize the flashback was the main plot, right? The intro was literally just an excuse to show it. Flashback specials do this sort of thing constantly.'
I agree with that
This movie has a wild bear while the main series as a bear as a scout along with another adult one working in a resturant both appear in this movie .
Ooooh
@@Johnny2000s it seems Lazlo has the same rules of animals acting like people and wild animals as Goofy and Pluto
This wasn’t the only special the show had. There was also “hello summer, goodbye camp”, and the Christmas special, “camp kringle.”
I made a video about one of those recently!
I actually didn't remember this until I saw the video
It's not that bad!
I remember when Raj and Clam were caught smoking weed
Camp Lazlo is gives the impression it's Rocko's Modern Life but dipped in Spongebob frosting. Case in point, Joe Murray created both Rocko and Lazlo's shows and firmly associated with Mr. Lawrence, Tom Kenny, and Carlos Alazraqui.
It simply makes no sense to cover a topic in a essay and not research its history.
That makes sense! I just like to discuss in retrospect
Some of it perhaps, that Where's Lazlo did not go well for me when Raj and Clam were not getting along, and Lazlo becoming self centered by bringing a bear to camp kidney unknowingly which ensued chaos!
Yeah it feels off
I remember really enjoying the commericals for this special with the trenchcoat newsreporter
LOL throwback too
You should definitely do a video about how this show ended. If you don't know, the final episode of this show was crazy and made me so uncomfortable as a kid. That's what they should have made the movie about.
Soooo true I thought that was so trippy
I'll do finales soon!
A finale should be the last day of camp
lazlo wasn't played by tom kenny it was Carlos Alazraqui who's also rocko and mr crocker in fairly oddparents and the totem pole isn't tiki related it's more native american culture lol
Oh shoot ahha thanks for the corrections
See, to be fair, it was established from the start that this was a story about how they met. I don't think it was meant to have any stakes.
I know but I expect stakes if they promote the special as a TV movie!
What if the Squirrel scouts were in this ? like imagine Patsy's devopeing crush on Lazlo .
It would've been better!
even back then i thought it was a really weird ending
The show had alot of those, hell the series finale was a big one that kind of recontextulize the entire series
I had watched camp lazlo as a kid, but since my family had moved in mid sep of 2007, I never truly got to watch the ending of the show, as with at least one or 2 or more shows. Another show i never got to see the ending of is foster home for imaginary friends. With what I mentioned about not seeing the later part of the show, it's weird that i haven't considering that i have the dvd box set and a lot of cartoons that i have since been able to buy the dvd box set of, i have binge watched a few of them (a couple of examples of that are teen titans (the original 2003 one) and xialoin show down) The clip at 5:51, i don't know exactly what to call it, maybe a nod to(?) the times mr.krabs and spongebob would call Squidward squidwood, or squidworp or something of that variation, with lumpus calling edward woodward, and he (the latter) calls him on it, sort of like Squidward did to mr.krabs in banned in bikini bottom. To be honest, that is only something that I was able to pick up on now as an adult, but not as a kid. With clam and raj mentioning about Edward not seeing anything, well duh, only one camper was seeing just about the whole thing and the rest of you were hiding by lumpus' bed. With hooha, I honestly forget how early in the show they had hinted at hooha or had shown him.
The end is insane!
@@Johnny2000s yeah, I've watched a few youtuber reviews on that being that the real scout master was claimed to bd a heffer spoof from rockos modern life, the spoof i guess was due to heffer himself being owned by the other network and they couldn't legally use him, so they came up with a spoof of him. The problem that I do have with the idea is that slinkman mentions about slugfest being every 5 years and the one episode in modern day being 5 years later then in the flashback, snd the heffer spoof saying he was locked in a closet all summer, so there's a great big retcon for you.
i really enjoyed this show as a kid !!
Yesssss soooo goood
When I was 5 or 6 I watched every episode on boomerang
Throwback!!
I Love Your Channel & Videos
THANK YOU
That was quick
I'm fast what can I say
One of ny top 3 favorite cartoon network shows ever it came out the perfect time when i was a kid cause i was also in the scouts at the time
yesss it's so funny
Oh this was movie you sure this wasn't the 2 part pilots
Yeah it was in season 4
Lets get johnny to 10K before 2026
If you do I'll give you a coupon to Dunkin Donuts
I remember watching this one! That’s him. It wasn’t that great either, but it was cool to see how they all started as friends! I didn’t know the same voice of Slikman with the same voice of Plankton.
So true!
@@Johnny2000s You do a good job on these videos. Thank you for posting them! Jesus loves you!
@@SuperSpieth Thanks!! :)
@@Johnny2000sYou’re welcome!
As far as being a "Spongebob clone" goes I think Camp Lazlo is one of the better cartoons to adopt the formula.
All the characters feel unique in their own way and fit along with the setting.
Edward and Raj feel like actual characters and not obligatory Patrick and Squidward shoe-in's. Not to mention the fact it would far too easy to write Lumpus to be like Mr. Krabs.
I feel like the whole "Overly Optimistic MC" ended up having a lot of people shrug off a lot of good series because of the Spongebob comparison.
Jimmy Two-Shoes is one show that comes to mind.
I get that!
It uses some of the same music as SpongeBob because Nicholas Carr was the music editor for this show we got a lot of APM music that you more regonize as being part of SpongeBob especially when they use the same Hawaiian music occasionally. Granted it has original music and some APM tracks SpongeBob didn't use (Yet) but for the most part it's all music you heard in at least 1 episode of SpongeBob.
I know this is off topic but can you please make videos about my gym partners a monkey
Tommorow it's going out!
Imagine Jake Spidermonkey meeting Lazlo
