After seeing this I want nothing more than an Oxbox after dark channel where they're just allowed to do stuff like this without having to work around the normal restrictions.
For those who'd rather not Google "Garfield dog semen," here's the story: In a May 30th, 1990 comic strip, Jon and Garfield are at the vet. Jon drinks from a cup that was sitting on the counter, and Liz (the vet) says "Congratulations, Mister Arbuckle. You are going to give birth to a fine, healthy litter of puppies." Jon looks like he's about to either spit or vomit, and Garfield thinks "I hate puppies!" This strip was widely interpreted as "Jon drank dog semen," but in a 2017 Buzzfeed interview Jim Davis (Garfield's creator) claimed it was meant to be a type of protein-enriched supplement for pregnant dogs. Only one thing is certain: there's a joke to be made about protein-rich supplements. (Also, Lorenzo Music.)
Bless you for posting this; I remembered John drinking something at the vet, but I couldn't remember the exact comic. I seriously did not want this search in my browser history; the person monitoring my internet activity has been psychologically scarred enough.
For more context, Mr. Davis grew up on a cattle ranch. Cows giving birth for the first time would be given a special supplement to make sure the birth was easy and the calf was healthy. They obtained this supplement from the vet. Since Liz is a vet, the joke was supposed to be that she'd have similar supplements available for dogs. Hence the comment "...fine, HEALTHY litter of puppies."
that makes sense at least, between the upload time and the video title i just assumed it was an accident and we were watching it illicitly before it gets quickly privatised lol

Gerald David "Lorenzo" Music (May 2, 1937 - August 4, 2001) was an American writer, producer, performer and voice actor. Music began his career in the 1960s with his wife, Henrietta, forming the comedy duo Gerald and His Hen. He then became a writer and a regular performer on the controversial CBS variety show The Smothers Brothers Variety Hour. In the 1970s, Music co-created the sitcom The Bob Newheart Show with David Davis and composed its theme music with his wife. He also wrote episodes for The Mary Tyler More Show and Rhoda, and got a major voiceover role for playing the unseen, but often heard, Carlton the Doorman in Rhoda. Music gained fame in the 1980s for voicing Jim Davis' comic strip character Garfield on twelve animated specials, and later in cartoons, video games, and commercials. His distinctive voice of Garfield was also emulated by other actors following his death in 2001.

@@isaactimmins8959so what i’m hearing is: he gets to play with the pro-controller next time.
@@dexterpearson8689 It must have been real depression if some youtube videos helped you get over it. Your life must be hard. Poor you. These comments are like spit in the face to the people with real depression.
Definitely family christmas vibes from this xD Hope you guys had a wonderful holiday season!
PS: Lorenzo Music
1:07:49 the expressions on everyone's faces is classic. This needs to be a Presh Mem.
They probably deliberately released it after the 2022 Presh Mems video, because otherwise, it'd just be this entire video again.
I was going to leave this exact same comment. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that!
This perfectly illustrates why I follow your guys. It's not because of the amazing games. It's because of the banter, the jokes, the experience of watching you guys have fun together - whether the games are good or bad. It's not the games. It's you. :)
This video has peak 'halfway through the Christmas party we realised we needed another video' energy and I adore it. Also, I feel like I'm obligated to say that my desire for Lasagne Party content has been sated, so we no longer need to riot.
The distressed cat noises and "let me die"..this is a work of art.
Me: oh good, I can go to bed at a decent time on a work night, like the adult I am.
The best TH-camrs in the world: how about a Garfield fever dream instead?
Andy's enthusiasm for this wonderful game is inspiring.
Of course I finished the video.
this is the most chaotic i've experienced the ox-crew and i'm SO here for it!!! This brought joy to my terrible day, thank you all 🥰
Lorenzo Music, obv!
35:00 Everyone laughing at Luke's pain while he sad there blank faced cracked me up.
What a tremendous video. The vibes are unlike most any other Oxboxtra video, and they are exquisite.
Edit: Lorenzo Music, babey!
The incorporation of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights into play really added a ton of value.
This video has an unhinged energy from the content to the title to the upload time.
Lorenzo Music! I love the "this was filmed at 3am after 3 bottles of wine" mood.
This has easily become my favourite Oxboxtra video, out of all their content combined 😂
It’s unparalleled joy
It is brilliant 😂 Though it’s between Alien, Hitman when Jane or Mike are agent 47, Poppy Playtime, Slender, Stray oxmas challenge/ let’s play series especially when Ellen discovers the glitch that breaks the poor cats neck/trips robots up/Andy’s rage on his turn of the challenge and The Evil Within 😅
“the important thing is, it’s over” catchphrase to live by
This is definitely the “and our minds were unraveling as time loses all meaning” episode
(Lorenzo Music)
I wish it were possible to isolate the audio of Ellen's numnumnumnumnumnuming her way up the scale at 1:06:53.
Happy New Year Oxboxtra crew; may the rest of your 2022 and all of your 2023 be filled with joy, laughter, song, and Lorenzo Music.
The OX crew just came onto the internet and decided to give us the greatest gaming video of 2022 right at the eleventh hour.
A year later, I still love the video that started the Oxboxtra New Year .wmv End of Term video.
Highlights include:
22:35 Luke's misunderstood epic side-eye.
54:39 The horror of the burrowing dog.
57:50 Andy's F-Bomb Review.
7:31 Mike's Arlene demonetising description.
19:05 Provoking the dog.
30:10 The dripping NSFW card.
40:05 Garfield lore on _that_ "beverage"
This may be one of the best videos Produced by this channel, Absolutely flawless in its comedy and entertaining from the 1st second to the last
Kippers house hunting was pretty great too.
This is it, Oxboxtra has entered its no-holds-barred Twitch energy era
The freeze frame ending is perfection.
This video has been out for less than 24 hours and I've already watched it four times. Lorenzo music indeed.
49:34
I love that Andy has started referencing DCOMs since Mom Can't Cook has started
Edit:
Lorenzo music, don't doubt how much we viewers love any video you put out
Here when the video was still called garfield.wmv
Me too
Same!
Yup.
@@amwoodco3049 not sure the name will change, not as long as lorenzo lives.
Let's be honest, we all forgot they mentioned this and were caught off guard in the best way lol
Suddenly I'm glad I have insomnia.
Oh, the faces when the dog buried itself. And many other moments. Such a treat at the end of the year, thank you.
This is officially an old video, I know, but 54:37 and their subsequent reactions are still gold.
This vid is the type of Lorenzo Music I get behind. This was one of the best hours spent on TH-cam in recent memory, cheers guys.
Please keep this video up forever! Haven't even gotten far into it yet but it already seems like a funny video to keep rewatching down the road.
The final shot of the five of them in various stages of grief is a Renaissance painting XD
Please dont change the title garfield.wmv is just perfect for this game 🤣🤣
It honestly made me click so fast
@@StephreyLynn legit thought it was some kind of fan-made creepy pasta at first. After watching the first 10 minutes, it turned out to be an officially branded nightmare instead.
I would have not watched it until I got home if it had a normal OX name. Seeing a random youtube notification titled only garfield.wmv made me click out of curiosity. Now I have watched the entire thing at work and it finished just in time for me to go home.
I love how everyone is checking their email and text notifications throughout
After years watching so many memorable Oxventures, Blades, Lists, Hallowstream, and Xmas Challenges, I have to say this is by far the greatest, most S-tier content that you guys have ever put out. I feel like there either needs to be a weekly lasagna party live stream or the loser of the Xmas Challenge each year has to stream themselves playing the longest possible game of Lasagna Party against the computer while everyone else roasts them.
Holy heck, surprise Garfield.
Edit: "Lorenzo Music". This was quite the, uh.... journey. Damn. I have no words. Some prime screenshot opportunities though! Especially at 54:40.
Ahahaha, yeah that animation is... a choice... very much a choice. :D At least it's not lorenzo's music.
"drank a load of dog seaman" was not a sentence I was expecting to hear today, especially as I was taking a sip of coffee at the time
Thanks Andy
funny thing is, me looking at it... I immediately saw it for what it was... a cartoon poof of smoke. :p
To be fair, i remember this happening in the comics. It was even more surprising then
I love that none of them look like they wanted to be there playing Garfield 😂
When they said they would I thought it was a joke lol
They all enjoyed themselves, don't be fooled by their incredible acting skills!
What makes this game really amazing is you guys start the mini-games, take a second or two to get used to it, and actually kind of enjoy it for about 20 seconds. However, the game then continues for another 30 seconds after that, and by the end you're all just completely exhausted and dead inside, but you still have 8 ROUNDS LEFT. Love Lorenzo Music.
Delighted to see the "hot dog, what a cruel thing I've done" callback.
And the sexual Frenchman "the kind of trick a cat would pull" one as well, Andy the callback King showing us all why his crown is well-deserved.
