2:04 it happens either glitching gold or for no reason and I know from experience. I was duping gold in isle to be 12 each chest, had went to gibbet jungle after duping gold. The gibblers did get damaged and went on to beat the whole quest. The second time the gibbiters weren’t working, I used jugs but that didn’t work. So I needed a friend and went to the final boss and the cannons weren’t working for me either.
