@@swimsvg1855 that's sort of what they used to do for campaign, zombies, and multiplayer. The main game was under one .exe but if you switched modes there would be a slight black screen as they booted up the other .exe. It could be a similar thing.
As of right now I don't play zombies that much anymore, but my most replayed maps when I do play are origins and ascension on bo3 just cause the leveling up gives me a reason to play. If cotd was on chronicles instead of Origins for the bo1 storyline it would be my most played map of all time. Also, the theme of tranzit was awesome. I loved the idea of the world being torn apart and all that stuff, but it was hated on so much cause of how it was executed. The perk and wall weapon placement, the buildable system of only being able to carry one part (along woth the jet gun with the buildable system), the pap etc., were all things that ruined the gameplay. It had so much potential
My favorite map of all time: Shadows of Evil Here's why: Shadows of Evil is imo as close to perfect as a zombies map can get. The 1940s Morg City is an amazing setting, and there's so much passion put into making a captivating atmosphere where the jazz music and Cthulhu theme shine and add to the beauty of the map. The design makes it feel like a place that could be real, but it also has tons of Apothican lore and Cthulhu references that give it that feeling of being in a completely alternate dimension. As a crew, I quite enjoyed Nero, Jessica, Floyd, and JACKIE FUCKING VINCENT, and their purposes for being in this dimension resonate kinda like the MotD gangsters except with the Shadowman's ominous presence. Shadows and Mob have a lot of similarities in terms of story connection and the purgatory these characters are put through, but the beast mode is also a revamped version of afterlife with way more abilities. These include turning on and buying perks, getting PAP parts, opening new areas/portals/egg boxes, and doing the main easter egg. The bloodhound is a great starting weapon, and the perks feel extra special having unique music and icons when purchased. Shadows has the best layout of any map, divided into four main districts with their own layers of verticality as well as a 'central hub' that can go down directly to the massive underground rift area. It's one of the few layouts that utilizes every square inch of the playable space, whether that be for core features, main and side easter eggs, or the many hidden cyphers. Finding perks, shield parts, and fuses is simple because each district has one perk, one fuse, etc. The introduction of gobblegums felt perfectly made for this map, and we also got the one and only new perk for BO3, Widow's Wine. Shadows has the best transportation as well, utilizing an efficient tram system to any district and the portals that can get you across the map insanely quick. Pods are a neat addition that can be really useful if saved for a better reward, especially with the incentive to get the Apothican Servant tentacle. The PAP system resembles the Origins generator system in terms of the lockdown and having to remain in a particular area, but unlocking the PAP on the final ritual is always so satisfying. Though difficult on the first few playthroughs, learning how to maximize the use of beast mode to open the map quicker adds a layer of complexity and replay ability you can't find from other experiences. This skill level can be elevated even more to utilize intricate tricks to get the sword symbols and make the main easter egg quicker. Imo the Margwa is the best mini boss ever, as it provides a significant enough challenge but has weak spots that can be easily exploited, and you get 500 points per head shot. The meatballs are a cool take on the R.A.P.S. from multiplayer, and the parasites are great for when you need to save an enemy to work on easter eggs or hit the box. For the first time, we got a shield with a bonus rocket dash ability that can also be upgraded, and the Civil Protector is the first and one of the coolest A.I. that kills zombies alongside the player. The two equipment for the map, Lil Arnies and trip mines, can both be upgraded and used simultaneously. Upgrading the sword is always rewarding and is one of the most fun specialist weapons in BO3, and the Apothican Servant is a godly wonder weapon. While it would have been nice to upgrade it, it's understandable why it isn't a feature, and alchemical is a great option to help with the ammo situation. With all these tools at your disposable and the training spots spread along all four districts, high rounds become incredibly enjoyable while still having some challenge. Another similar feature to Origins involves the structure of the main easter egg in that the sword is involved and creates a seamless connection between core gameplay and the easter egg. The steps are invigorating; the only thing I would change is the last step to work for 1-4 players rather than just 4. Unlike other easter eggs, though, the Shadowman boss step is as fun as the rest of the egg and feels like a satisfying completion even without four players. Along with all the upgrades, Shadows has other side easter eggs that can help with quicker progression, including the free 500 points at the start, the free mega gobblegum, the margwa mask, and shooting the Shadowman to start the game at a higher round if you really want to. I don't usually discuss the music EEs, but snake skin boots is easily my favorite song as it fits the ambiance of Shadows so perfectly.
As well made as Shadows is, I can’t seem to like it as much as Mob or Origins. It’s too bright, as are most BO3 maps, and it takes away from the gloominess and creepiness of zombies. Origins was creepy and hopeless, with ominous sounds, a portal in the sky and just a gloomy feel. Mob was literally set in a prison with dead bodies hanging, a flaming warden yelling and running at you, the box is on fire, and it’s the perfect place for killing zombies. SOE is a bright city that still looks alive and plays jazz music. My other problem with it is all 3 of the districts feel the exact same. It feels like it’s one map, duplicated three times and placed around a central hub. While I get that’s the whole point of the map, and it’s layout lends itself well to travel, there’s nothing distinct about each district. They’re perfectly symmetrical. Whereas Origins is kinda split up into the trenches, no man’s land, and the church, which allows for 3 different, distinct areas. Mob isn’t as distinctly split up, but every room has a different feel to it, plus you can go outside. In shadows I feel like I’m traversing the same area over and over again. I can acknowledge it’s extremely well designed, but I can’t get into the layout or atmosphere.
I have an idea Vanguard and Blacks ops 4 weren’t liked because they didn’t have Nacht. In every other Treyarch cod there was a Nacht like in WAW there was Nacht, bo1 there was Nacht, bo2 Tranzit had Nacht, bo3 there was Nacht, and bocw there was Nacht in Die Maschine.
Honestly it would be dope if they made mw2 with zombies, but it’s pretty much chemical warfare so it’s a mix of zombies aka civilians turning into them and regular enemies shooting at u would make it really interesting but u know they can’t think of that
I actually remember my last time playing WAW on the 360. Man it was so long ago. My brother was playing either on our Xbox account or on our Xbox one so I couldn't play it.

Content Creators have hated on Tranzit for years Lmao. Where have you been? Unlike Vanguard though Tranzit can actually be fun. Definitely with friends.
@@smugplush Imo Bo3 is the best zombies game to exist but I still enjoy CW and Bo4 which tended to get hated on a lot by the community for pretty much no reason. I’ll be honest I hated on CW during the beginning of its life cycle but it has actually grown on me.

As someone who was here when die rise came out we were all so starved for content in bo2 that die rise was considered a pretty good map. It was unique and introduced a fantastic wonder weapon. Because of that I could never put tranzit above die rise but I understand people who came after if they felt differently
Just saying call of the dead hasn't hit reset the only reason it has not got round 100 is because after a certain amount of box hits the game has a box error and crashes
Nuketown top 5 map. S tier! SoE, bottom 5, terrible map, terrible look. Shangri-La was better looking. Gobblegum was a terrible idea. How most people feel about BO4 and Vanguard, is how I feel about BO3. Unnecessary "innovation", bad ideas, and focus on gameplay over story. Downfall of Zombies right here.
Hear me out… if they remade tranzit into an outbreak map that would be the dream. Literally it would be perfect for a remake in outbreak. It’s how they envisioned tranzit to be originally anyway
@@aggressivefox454 considering how controversial outbreak is with most of the community despising it to this day, I’d really rather it if outbreak didn’t return.
@@spiner2315 yeah. I’m honestly just surprised tho that they didn’t remake tranzit as an outbreak map in the past. I think it worked well when they did it in blackout and if they went all in it could be a good time
Tranzit was originally supposed to be a much bigger map with even a bigger ambition but time, resources and console limitations held it back. Also it was too early for its time the community wasn't ready for such a drastic change in the zombie formula. I dont understand why Treyarch hasn't remade it, its a map that deserves it out of all them.
I think most people hate Die Rise more than Tranzit. I can have fun on Tranzit if I just bring some friends and mess around, but on Die Rise there’s really not much fun to be had, except maybe your first few solo runs.
to be honest, what carries World at War for me is the guns. not only are all of them just insanely iconic in gaming, but I'm just a huge history geek. I've been able to actually shoot alotta these guns irl and they feel just as good in game. Bo3 is still amazing but to this day I still don't like the guns. the most fun I have in Bo3 is when I'm using throwback guns. I don't care about the "definitely not an AK-47" (KN-44) or the "definitely not an MP5" (Kuda) the Bo3 and Bo4 guns are jus super generic sci-fi shit and it's boring (no diss to sci-fi, my favorite franchises is star wars) I wanna use real guns, from history. the setting of world at war jus knocks it outta the park for me. like yea we've seen a billion zombie games in the modern day but how many zombie games have you fighting undead Nazis in 1945 right after the end of the war as soldiers from that war using weapons from the time period?
BO3 has hard maps tho. And every WaW-bo2 map is easy except maybe bus depot. Black ops 3 people look at gobble gums and aats, and think it is easy. This isn’t true unless you’re spamming power vac, round robbin, near death experience, etc. crap, and aats don’t make it too easy either. World Records on bo3 are pretty hard, and generally a lot harder than WaW-bo2. For example, you can run in the rift on shadows with blast furnace, super easy and almost anybody can run this but you can’t run this for a whole game and except to get a wr or even far beyond 150ish. On every map there is a reset time, and you gotta run certain strategies, which are generally very hard, to beat the reset time and get the wr. There are easy maps like Acension Rev gorod, and de which are too easy to 255 as long as you follow the strategy, but maps like shadows, Shangrila, and Verruckt exist. Saying aats and gums make the game too easy just isn’t true. On WaW-bo2 the maps were easy and wrs aren’t hard on any of those maps, except bus depot, cuz the maps are easy, and none of those world record strategies are that hard either. also first rooms, and no perks are way harder on bo3 due to the ninja zombies, and keep in mind, the zombies respawn like crazy in bo3 every 2 seconds if you aren’t facing them. Bo3 is way harder, and this is coming from someone with several wrs on each game. If you are a casual high rounder, or play easy maps, then bo3 is easy, but try hardcore high rounds, bo3 is pretty hard. Verruckt in bo3 is way harder, unless you’re doing megas where you have bullet boost and wall/crate power, so you can get aats, then you can run the aat strat, but the trap strat u gotta run on classics and no gums is way harder than Verruckt and bo1 Verruckt. Shangrila bo3, the wr strategy is insanely insanely hard, and is way harder than the wr strat on bo1 Shang. You can run that pharo strat, but you won’t get far above 150. And the pharo strat is the only easy strategy on Shang. Shadows the waterfront strategy isn’t crazy hard, but it still requires lots of practice to run for a whole game. Origins bo2 the wr is just keeping track of the drop cycle, n bo3, you gotta play fast, there are 2 255s on origins, and both of those games were very close to reset. If they played any slower, they woulda reset in the 250s. You can run the faster generator strategies, but these are hard, and would require tons of practice to run for a whole game. The fact y’all look at gums and aats and assume the game is easy, is aids, aats don’t carry the game in any way, on WaW-bo2, it was trap strategies, wonder weapon trades, or training zombies and slowly killing them on bo3 it is just killing them with aats. Aats sure speed it up, but they don’t carry the game in anyway, and the strategies you gotta run on bo3 for wrs are generally very very hard. And gums don’t carry the game either unless you’re using the overpowered gums. Every WaW-bo2 map wrs are easy. Also keep in mind every BO1 map except Nacht Verruckt and Shi no Numa have a cross bow which can get you out of emergencies, like gobble gums like in plain sight, anywhere but here, and idle eyes. And it has more shots, idle eyes only has 3 activations, and ips and abh only have 2. Also if you switch guns while activating your gum, zombies can still hit you’ll the crossbow can fail too, but the more shots, makes it easier than gobble gums. So reminder, casual high rounder, or if you play easy maps like Rev Acension de or gorod, bo3 is easy, but if you’re a world record player, bo3 is hard. And also WaW-bo2 are easy to get wrs on casual on WaW-bo2 tho is hard on some maps, cuz maps like five can be hard if you don’t run the right strategy. But again, I said it before, and I will say it again: GUMS AND AATS ALONE DO NOT CARRY THE GAME.

Because of that I could never put tranzit above die rise but I understand people who came after if they felt differently
Die Rise is unironically top 5
We gonna get Der Anfang in ZC3
True
Ascension is my favourite map
The best zombies map of all time? Kino Der toten black ops 1
It only took me 20 mins to do the terra malidicta ee
Die Maschine is LIGHTYEARS better than Nacht. Cold War zombies was horrible but Die Maschine was actually an amazing map.
the best map of all time, ZBS BO3
hi mr lex
Once vanguard is done what? Lex finish your sentence pls i missed the stream
I just watched this lol
What about Shang gru la
It’s how they envisioned tranzit to be originally anyway
based take
@@smugplush true. I think this would be a good excuse to remake tranzit, but I don’t know if I would trust them with this
@@aggressivefox454 considering how controversial outbreak is with most of the community despising it to this day, I’d really rather it if outbreak didn’t return.
Anyone else think the giant is boring but like der riese
Quick Question, Who hates die rise more than tranzit. I personally prefer tranzit but die rise I just cant play without phd.
Just don’t take fall damage 4head
Ah simple solution, like tranzit just jump and run
I think most people hate Die Rise more than Tranzit. I can have fun on Tranzit if I just bring some friends and mess around, but on Die Rise there’s really not much fun to be had, except maybe your first few solo runs.
Die Rise is unironically IMO so underrated it's top 5 best map
@@jpetras16 yeah, it’s always been my favourite map
Tag is 100 times worse than AlphaOmega
Nacht or die machine nacht any day
I can do buried 100 but I cba doing it
to be honest, what carries World at War for me is the guns. not only are all of them just insanely iconic in gaming, but I'm just a huge history geek.
After ZC zombies has completely sucked
I usually agree with Lex but I’m sorry gorod looks ways better and more detailed than shadows
Vangard raygun poopoo
idk i just get bored of classic maps, nothing to do but train zombies... nah
Lex ffs please pause the video when you're talking like holy shit who do I listen to???, no hate
I was searching for this comment Ty for making me feel like I’m not insane

For hating buried
And 2 for hating gobblegums
Buried is such a boring map to look at. The egg is fun but I hate looking at the map
You should play that shitty shit and use it as content. 💀 jk jk but image?
I'm talking about vanguard*

forsaken was terrible
Whacky opinion: I don't like BO3 as much because it makes the game too easy
Man why did you become a scam. I watched you for years. Sucks for real.
cold war and bo4 are so boring to watch
I don't like origins or shadows cus I don't want to do a hunt for items which then give me the fun mode 🥲
