    Since first setting foot on this Path in 1982, my only goal has been: "Whatever experience brings me to Enlightenment ". Stopped for 2 years when Trungpa died, & again when the 3rd Jamgon Kontrul was killed. But, to me, nothing helps but practicing The Dharma, so here i am alone. Looking for a sangha in the interior US, in the county, not city.

      I strongly suggest the book “the mind illuminated” by Culadasa. He maps out exactly what to do and how in order to reach enlightenment (mostly) in several years only.

    Wow, Geshi La, Nicely said and well put. Emptiness is what I try to understand little bit at a time and it helps.

    Maybe gautam buddha wrote a book about to know, read someone's mind heart. Do you know that book name?

    • @zarathustra8789
      @zarathustra8789 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gautama Buddha did not write any book, but his words were memorized and later put into text, through the Dhammapada, the Pali cannon and Mahayana sutras.

    This is great, but the tiger analogy is not helpful. If a real tiger jumps at you it's very very real, on the physical plane, and you need to run. Dream tiger no problem, real tiger, big problem.
    Emptiness - NOT THE ABSENCE OF EVERYTHING, BUT THE ABSENCE OF ESSENCE.

    • @emptiness4141
      @emptiness4141 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Who told you don't run if real tiger jumps at you? 😂 you think we all are such fool except yourself... 🤣

    • @martynb901
      @martynb901 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But he makes it clear that he’s only talking about a dream tiger. The analogy is about dreams versus reality, not tigers!

    • @שגהש
      @שגהש ปีที่แล้ว

      The tiger is for example the illusions that lead us to identify with our emotions and thoughts. When you awaken, you directly experience a higher truth and attain true wisdom of reality which results in the end of suffering.
