As a Korean American growing up with the MCU, I already know this movie is going to mean the world to me. I'm so incredibly excited for all of the Asian American kids who are going to be able to grow up with an Asian superhero at the forefront of the MCU.
This is exactly why Black panther was good, it speaks to people and means alot to so many people.. The MCU is so god damn great. Representation is awesome.

There's less muscle for kung fu so there's more flexibility and greater speed. Thor and Cap have superstrength, Shang Chi has skill and form. Thor looked kind of janky in his first film. Took three films to really get him right. Cap really came into his own in Winter Soldier. Same here, I reckon. Plus the first film is usually origin story heavy.
That's not a huge surprise; he's mainly known in Canada for his role in the sitcom _Kim's Convenience,_ about a Korean family that runs a convenience store (natch) in Toronto. Outside of Canada he's only been in guest roles.
Can't say much about the story just by soley looking at the trailer but the action choreography is incredible and has a visually distinct distinct flair from the rest of the MCU and it's easily my most anticipated aspect of the film. Simu Liu is gonna kill it!
I hope this movie launches his already good career into the stratosphere. They couldn’t have found a better person for the role. His humbleness (his Canadian is showing in this interview) and acting strength is perfect for Shang Chi.

It's a shame Captain America is retired and Chadwick is gone, RIP. They could really cement Shang-Chi as a badass character if he goes toe to toe with an already established fighter character in the MCU and is their equal without any powers or enchancements.
From Kim’s Connivence as Jung Kim to Awakafina is Nora from Queens as Garbage Boy, and now playing in his first blockbuster as Shang-Chi in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Simu Liu is definitely going above and beyond in his acting career! The nation of Canada must be extremely proud of him!

Marvel has proven not only to be versatile, but also able to bring those differences of each character and their world together into one film or show. Shang-chi could easily have made an appearance in Iron Fist. I can also see Shang-chi meeting Sam Wilson and Bucky
